Surprisingly Good

At first I got lost in the constant switching of characters but as I became familiar with who was who it all began to make since.. also the narrator Nicole Small makes every story interesting

Name pronunciations...

Good story however, each narrator threw me off with a different pronunciation for the main character's names. In Pt 2, Shady became Sharday (phonetic). In this book, Shan became Shawn. Initially, it threw me, then later (throughout the book), it just irritated me. It was a good story bit perhaps the narrators need to become familiar with the characters?

One Surprise After the Next Narrator OUTSTANDING

The narrator of this audiobook had me laughing out loud and with the twists and turns really brought this story to life. I'm a big fan of gangster fairytales. When there is one with a female that leads that pack you got me hook line and sinker. This book did not let me down. As soon as I thought I had it figured out BOOM! It goes left and I loved every minute of it. I'm looking forward to the other sequels to this story because this one was a hit.

Yes, this book was extremely interesting and had a very good ending

What about Nicole Small’s performance did you like?

Nicole was very versatile and I enjoyed her ability to switch with each character.

Ratchet.... Ratchet... Ratchet....

Who was your favorite character and why?

I've always liked Briggen. He keeps it real at all times.

What about Nicole Small’s performance did you like?

I love all the books that Nicole read but this book was a little complex for just 1 reader. There are a lot of male characters and a male reader would have been helpful. It was difficult to follow along with the voices. Nicole should have listened to the previous books because the pronunciation of Shan's name changed for Shan to Shawn not acceptable for the 3rd book in the series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I listened to all 4 books in the series.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would. At first I wasn't too keen on the whole audible book thing because I like the page turning of actual books but I enjoyed listening to Payback. The storyline had me sitting on the edge of my seat listening intently. I think Nicole Small is a wonderful narrator. She also narrated a book by Zhane titled Nervous and she does a wonderful job with changing the tone for each character. It's a good book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Dark, because he presence held my attention and I feared his character which means it was very well written.

Which character – as performed by Nicole Small – was your favorite?

I would have to say Briggin.

If you could rename Payback Ain’t Enough, what would you call it?

I couldn't have chosen a better name.

Love the Narrator

The storyline was pretty good BUT the narrator's style of story telling is what kept me engaged in listening.
