This is the follow up to Heart Shots, in the Paths Crossed series, which recounts a wild ten hour chase that started in Michigan, and ended in Indiana in 1957. In "A Closer Look," Edwards shares his experiences leading task forces that solved several perplexing cases.

- A cold case of double homicide and arson in 1981
- A slew of burglaries involving Wendy's restaurants
- The bicycle rapist, who prayed upon minors
- Robberies involving car stereo/radio equipment
- The murder of a bar owner

Edwards details twelve intriguing police investigations, and shares his thoughts on plea bargaining.

I strong recommend "Heart Shots" and "A Closer Look," both are riveting and the narration is top notch!
