Publisher's summary

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability that is caused by differences in one's brain. Children with autism will often have repetitive or restricted interests and behaviors, as well as troubles with social interaction and communication. Children who have autism also likely have different ways of paying attention and moving, as well as learning. In Parenting the Autistic Child: 161 Strategies for Parenting a Child on the Autism Spectrum we cover a lot of ground; in fact, there are 25 different chapters. The following chapters are inside:

  1. What Autism Looks Like in Children
  2. Twenty-Five Signs of Autism in Preschool Children
  3. Autism Self-Test for Parents
  4. How to Help Your Child With Autism Thrive
  5. Fourteen Practical Tips for Raising a Child with Autism

Not as informative as I’d hoped.

Well read and easy to understand, but it seemed like more of a basic introduction to autism. I don’t know that I learned much more than I’d already discovered in my own research.
Also, directed towards children who are more severely affected by it. My daughter is much more high functioning.
