Publisher's summary

Get ready for another spine-tingling journey with Parasite, the electrifying sequel to the acclaimed Residue. In the aftermath of the life-altering events that shook him to the core, Jack Bishop relocates to Sacramento, California, determined to uncover the truth behind his father's disappearance. His unique ability to perceive the lingering psychic remnants of both monsters and murder victims becomes his only guide in this relentless quest.

Little does Jack know that an ancient and formidable psychic entity has been unleashed upon the city, threatening not just his new home, but the entire world. With time ticking away, Jack and the mind-reading Alexandra (Alex) Courtney must join forces as they face unprecedented stakes. Their mission: to confront this supernatural menace and protect their loved ones, even if it means making the ultimate sacrifice.

Steve Diamond returns with his trademark blend of kick-butt mutants, psychics, and relentless action. Larry Correia, Robert McCammon, and Dan Wells agree: Parasite will not only scare you, but it will also touch your soul, shock your senses, make you laugh, cheer for its heroes, and leave you pondering its spine-tingling twists. Dive into a world where terror lurks in every shadow, and horror finds a new master in Steve Diamond.

"An intense, high-energy, what-lurks-in-the-shadows tale of monster, both men and otherwise. Steve Diamond can make you shiver." (Terry Brooks, New York Times best-selling author of the Shannara Chronicles)

original story with memorable characters.

I read this based on my love of MHI and Larry's posted recommendation.

it's a fantastic story, great characters, and a original direction especially with the progression. great job and looking forward to more in this world. I'd love to read a whole series about Wyatt, what happened to hook him and the big bad up, and his travels before he settled down in Calm Waters.

keep up the great work telling.

A totally different horror novel.

I enjoyed the connection between the two main characters and their personalities. I also enjoyed the unique character of the parasite.

Truly a wild ride

A totally unexpected twist to the series, spectacular, fun and horrifying. Interesting characters and situations, rapid pace, excellent writing.
Also, the narrator is fabulous, voices so well done I forgot one person was doing it all.
