the book was very well written and portrayed a very magnificent biography on a man who seemed much more than regular.

If you are hungry for spiritual growth look no further (other than the Autobiography). This book is absolutely fantastic.

A close perspective from the inner circle

In the beginning there were a few stories that were better told by Yogananda's younger brother in his book Medja. However, the author's perspective is from someone that was very close to the master during the last few years of his life. And also had to part ways from SRF after Yogananda's passing. I found the information interesting and the overall message on point.

Kriyananda offers a unique perspective on the masters life...it's taken me time to warm to that idea but I've always found his writings enlightening.❤🙏❤

Timeless authenticity and sincere devotion

At first some unattractive noises did put me off…but please don’t let that put you off from purchasing this gem. Since buying I’ve listened several times and no longer even notice the occasional gulps. Other reviews suggest this audio book should be read by another more professional sounding orator…but that would loose so much of the magic that is this archive of devotion. Hearing Krinandas voice there is timeless authenticity and sincere devotion as this is one of this last acts on earth before his own passing. This is a time capsule that is to be enjoyed because it gives the listener more real information about who Yogananda was and the philosophy he lived. What better and to hear the all the experiences from the author himself? We’ll I guess hearing Yogananda himself would likely be better but this recording is as good as it gets. This is beautiful remembrance of events from the voice and actual perspective of the author himself who experienced them with Yogananda in person. For me listening to this book several times has given me a much deeper respect and awe for example and life Yogananda lived. This is a perfect follow up book after one reads Autobiography of a Yogi. This is a must listen account if you are fascinated by the life of Yogananda.
