Male narrator better suited for children’s books

Liked the story, but I don’t understand why the male narrator was chosen for this script. I get that making 4 characters sound unique is tricky, but choosing a cartoon version of an Irish accent, an ogre, and a Englishman that slowly pronounces each syllable who starts sounding more and more like a woman towards the end is hard to look past.
