I’ve dealt with imposter feelings for years—at work, in relationships, even just being myself. This book felt like someone was finally putting words to what I’ve been experiencing. The way it breaks things down helped me realize I’m not alone or broken. I liked how straightforward the tone was, and I actually tried some of the exercises. They've helped me quiet that constant voice of self-doubt. I’m not “fixed,” but I’m way more confident moving forward.

This audiobook felt like a gentle but direct reality check for my inner critic. The part that stuck with me most was how it broke down overthinking and tied it to deeper fears of not being enough—it made me see how often I discount my own progress. I appreciated the exercises that helped me shift my thoughts in real time instead of just noticing them. It doesn’t overpromise or sugarcoat—just gives clear insights that actually land.

My entire career as a consultant and as an educator, has been filled with instances in which I feel like I am just "faking it" and that others will find out I am not the amazing person that I strive to be in spite of accomplishments and praise (that I secretly crave). No wonder I felt so understood when listening to this audio book, and I am very grateful to the colleague who shared this with me. One of the things I liked best is the straight-forward statement that it's important to go beyond quick fixes, to really understand the psychology behind my past, and to lean into tangible changes I can make. For example, to work on developing a growth mindset, to engage in goal setting and milestones so that I can see evidence of the progress I am making. Plus so many other great strategies I can put to good use. I am looking forward to listening to this audiobook a second time and taking notes!

The examples hit close to home, and the tools helped me stop second guessing everything I do. I’ve started owning my accomplishments instead of brushing them off or feeling like a fraud. It’s practical, honest, and gave me a new way to talk to myself, without all the self doubt. If you’ve ever felt “not enough,” this really helps shift that mindset.

I genuinely loved this audiobook because it spoke directly to the insecurities I struggle with daily. It explained negative thought patterns in a way that was relatable, not clinical, which made the cognitive techniques feel practical and doable. The chapter on balancing ambition with self-compassion hit home for me—I didn't feel lectured, just understood. I also really appreciated how the narrator brought warmth and authenticity to the message, making it feel supportive rather than overwhelming. Overall, listening gave me real hope that overcoming self-doubt isn't just possible—it's achievable.

This book helped me understand why I always feel like I’m not good enough, even when I am. It explains where that feeling comes from and how to spot it when it shows up. There’s a lot about how your thoughts work, how to calm the negative ones, and how to stop being so hard on yourself. I liked the chapters with actual tools, like breathing for stress, handling criticism, and changing habits. The parts on leadership and speaking up were surprisingly useful too. It’s not just info, it gives you things to try in real life. I felt seen the whole time.
