Pain. It is part of the human experience and one of the things that help us grow to maturity. But for some of us, the pain we have experienced feels crippling. Broken promises, dysfunctional families, damaged relationships, and rejection keep us from experiencing the abundant life Jesus promised. The Bible, however, offers great hope for pressing on. From the book of Ephesians, learn who you really are and why the pain of your past doesn't have to obscure God's plan for your future.

Story
Being a genuine disciple of Christ flows out of a relationship with him. It's about experiencing God's grace, not earning his love through performance. A real relationship with Jesus Christ will produce a follower whose life looks progressively more like his life. Romans 12 provides a relational profile of an authentic disciple: someone who is surrendered to God, separate from the world's values, sober in self-assessment, serving in love, and supernaturally responsive to evil with good.

Story
Heaven has received a lot of attention in recent years as best-selling books and movies have told the stories of people who claim to have been there. But what does the Bible actually say about heaven? What difference does it make? What happens the moment after we die? What will our relationships be like in heaven? Chip Ingram sets aside the hype and myths and digs into scripture to discover what God actually wants us to know about the hereafter. Most importantly, Ingram shows why our understanding of heaven matters now, in this life.

With compassion and a wealth of biblical understanding, Stanley explains that the measure of a person is "the size of thing that makes them angry." He goes on to distinguish between healthy and harmful anger and reminds us that "righteous indignation" is a divine emotion. However, he skillfully explains that misguided anger eats away at ourselves, our relationships with others, and our relationship with God.

Humorous Sermon about Anger
It is a sermon and not a book. I was unable to rewind & fast forward. Perhaps it was a technical issue? I enjoyed how the author made fun of himself which lightened the message. Great breakdown of the types of anger and how anger can be used in a positive way.

Incredibly helpful, insightful and convicting.
Chip's narration is so easy to listen to. His insights into what sets off our anger, how to choose new options of expression and how God views it all are so enlightening! God forgives and asks us to also, not easy, but necessary.
