Meh ...

I didn't get much out of this book. It is too short and didn't give me any tangible tips on organizing. It seemed to be more the internal psychology of messiness ... asking you to write down goals and seeing which "type" of messy personality you fall into. I kept waiting to hear about actual systems I could use - it wasn't until the end that she discusses putting things in attractive containers and using nice labels.

I got much more out of Dave Allen's 'Getting Things Done' which talks about filing techniques, 43 folders, task list management, etc.. Perhaps the unabridged book has more? The author does an excellent job narrating, however.

Excellent - Real Results

This book was great. I followed the steps and have cleaned up my home office area, and kept it neat! When I go to do another area, I'll listen to it again. Really made a difference from the other times I have tried to organize.

Buy the book to reference

There are a lot of checklists and questionaires so I would recommend having the book. There's only so much you can actively do when walking or driving listening to an audio book

Complete & Comprehensive

Straight to the point.
I took notes as I listened. Super important and for all I know there is a “study guide”. Im glad i didn’t have one though because it made me really pay attention. Its right to the point and step by step. Write it down, rewind, rewind. Then do it. Take notes, you wont remember all this because its super packed with nuggets. They are golden though, you want gold, I want gold. Super valuable and can change your/my life. Im like “squirrel”! So glad it was written exactly as it was, how it was, and as short as it was. Great reading by the author as well made it easy to follow and hear the cues for note changes and progressive step processes.

Most comprehensive book on the subject

For years I have tried to get my house organized. This is absolutely the best book on the subject if you want to know why you haven't succeeded in the past, why you are stuck now, and how to dig your way out of it. Julie clearly lays out detailed instructions that will give you "tools for a lifetime."
