Narration was the worst

The worst narration ever. Story was mediocre but narration made it horrible to get through

Rerecord this Book!

The narrator of this book is truly awful! In fact it was so bad I am going to ask for a refund from Amazon.

Great WWIII narrative!

I've enjoyed this series very much. The story has many thrilling aspects and kept me wanting to hear more. Both authors did a great job of balancing the story and details. My 2 stars for performance was the narrator for this particular book. Very distracting and far less even than the first two books. His awkward attempt at foreign accents and altering voices for different characters was at times cringe-worthy. Very glad he just did one book in this series. At some point in the future, I will purchase the books and read through the series.

Very Amateur

This was by far the poorest book in the series so far. The narrator wasn't bad in his own voice but the voices of the characters was so bad as to almost ruin the listen by themselves. The story has become so complicated that the authors have been unable to adequately informed as to the what the big picture really was. They attempted to compensate by providing bits of background on some of the characters but fell short. One major event which would have changed the story considerably (spoiler) fell through the cracks and was never referred to again. Finally, mispronouncing place names. I know this can be a tough one but even rudimentary research would have made a big difference. I am interested to learn how the story plays out but may not listen to the rest of the books in the series. Currently undecided.

Sorry this is so negative but the book did not live up to Audible standards. Not even close.

I like the WWIII premise. Good action.

These books have a great premise of WWIII, with America in a desperate position. There are a few parts where the story just skims over a summary of action instead of a more detailed story. That would have made these books longer and who doesn't like longer books?

They changed narrators in this book and it sucked. I do not know why they switched but it was a bad move. This made the book a lot harder to like.

The reader has no personality

The book would be a good read. The narrator is very monotone. He did have a few voice sounds for some characters but, that was the extent of it.

Great series but why did they change narrators

Great series. They however changed narrators in book three. He is monotone and sounds like he has a cold. Book 3was released almost a year ago. Where is book 4?

Such a shame.

Unfortunately the third installment of this series was ruined by the introduction of a new and sub-par narrator. Couldn't even finish it.

Wake up the narrator

First book was great, second was great and i feel this one could be too if the narrator would just wake up. Very poorly performed in a monotone voice and lots of words not said all the way through. The story is good but with the current narrator its pretty much un-listenable

A bit odd

Good story, but very odd narration (new narrator to the first books). The non speech sections were very monotonous, interjected with what seemed like prerecorded voice over actors, of which some didn't sound very authentic.

Terrible narration!!!!

The story was ok but the narration was terrible...... I felt like I was listening to an audio version of South Park! The attempt at different languages was comical.

Different but captivating

I thought this book was going to be awful to be honest but I was pleasantly surprised. Very interesting story and quite relevant to todays topics and the likely near future. Once you got into the nitty gritty of the story it was captivating. The only small criticism I suppose is the " America saves the world " feeling you get out of the story was a bit too much full on but hey, its fiction and a story so it was forgivable.

Another excellent volume in this series

If you’ve enjoyed the previous books in this series you’ll love this one. Fast paced, generally strategic overview of a highly believable WWIII scenario.

The one thing that let it down for me though was the narrator. Unfortunately I think the book would be far more exciting with a less robotic (almost monotone) voice reading it.
