Enjoyed it!
I'm an avid mystery/thriller fan amd enjoyed this plot, characters, and narrator. It was difficult to clearly hear him at times, Nicholas Camm, and I had to turn the volume up or rewind in parts. However, personally I like this narrator. He makes the whole thing sound omnious,. spooky, and foreboding where it fits the story.

Not what I hoped for
I was intrigued by the description, and as I am always on the lookout for new series I started this book. I usually switch between reading and listening (driving 3 hours to and from work). The performance could use some improving, maybe it's technical, but the sound fades so you have to rewind and listen again. As for the writing, the characters lack development which is to be expected in a first book. I didn't really warm to the main character and was surprised by another DS introduced about halfway. Two or maybe 3 subplots as if the author couldn't really make up his mind about what story he wanted to tell.
TBH I don't think I'll read any more of this series.
