Nelson Hobbs and Kate Rudd did a good job bringing these characters, and this story to life. I enjoyed it. #WildfireMarketingSolutions

Oh Ricky and Marilyn! A little age gap, one night at Marilyn's graduation, and feelings that fester over the years all start this fantastic romance! Aleatha Romig had me listening to this one straight through so I could see how it all plays out! Ricky and Marilyn have one night, no strings, and when he finds out what she has given him, he pretty much ghosts her. Even though she knows the score, the pain he caused her at eighteen has followed her through her life. Now years later, Ricky shows back up in her life. An older graduate, he looks to her for help with prepping for a job at her practice. But will she be able to look past her hurt even years later? I loved this story, as Ricky realizes Marilyn's worth, her success and compassion over and not just her beauty. Marilyn finds it tough to get past her feelings, but knows her heart. But can she trust him? I was right there with both of them. Lots of feelings, lots of disappointment, lots of history and lots of love. It's fantastic and a joy to listen to.

Nelson Hobbs and Kate Rudd are perfectly cast for this fun listen. Hobbs is Ricky, dealing with his terrible decision as a young adult, and trying to better himself. He easily loses confidence and Hobbs is right there with the inflections that reveal every emotion. Rudd plays the hurt Marilyn, trying to find her footing with her feelings and being the supportive woman she knows she is. Love this team, they are right in the minds of their characters and made this listen come alive.
