Publisher's Summary

Nobody ever walked across the bridge at night. But on the foggy night that Hammer took that chance, his encounter with a gun-toting thug and a girl on the lam ended with both strangers dead. Soon Hammer is caught in a web of sinister gangsters and beautiful women the likes of which he's never seen -- and his only way out is to kill and kill again...even with his bare hands.

Spillane's Best!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of One Lonely Night to be better than the print version?

Yes! Mainly due to Stacy Keach's narration. He's my generation's Mike Hammer and his voice is spot on perfect.

What other book might you compare One Lonely Night to and why?

Vengeance Is Mine another Spillane favorite (which I really wish was available on Audible). A great blood and guts private eye yarn.

Which scene was your favorite?

Mike's showdown with the commies and rescue of Velda. Deliriously brutal and cathartic.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If your red, you're gonna wish you were dead...

Any additional comments?

Please, please make Stacy Keach's reading of Vengeance Is Mine available on Audible.
