Yessss!!!

Love the story! The narration annoys me tho. When she was whiny and crying…. I feel like the portrayal could have been strong not whiny.

A Gothic tale like no other!!

This book was absolutely BRILLIANT!!! Filled with a magic system like nothing I have ever read before. A dark and twisted tale that leaves you absolutely begging for book 2. Yes, it ends on quite a cliffhanger but what a cliffhanger it is. The perfect read on a cold Autumn night. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Gothic Fantasy, you will not be disappointed!! 5 stars *****

Looking forward to reading the next book! I enjoyed the story and the characters. Very low on the spice but I loved the building of the romance.

The novel is great

I'm very sorry to the narrator who I am sure does fabulously in other works but her constant Dramtique Recital of the narrative in what sounded 99% of the time as if she was about to burst into tears was really, really off-putting, and not in a vibes/aesthetic/feel kind of way.
But the book itself is excellent and so is the sequel, despite a few first time author writing pet peeves.

MASTERPIECE !!!

DO IT! it's an such an amazing story. I love it I want more.

I didn’t think this would be a book I would enjoy but I did.

This is the first time I decided to go to the fantasy genre this year. It started off slower but I loved learning more about each character. I listened to this quickly and just wanted to know what would end up happening. And that ending! Can’t wait for the next book!
