Action and romance

A book that I couldn’t put down. It had action and romance. I like the brief description of the scenes.

Giggles and suspense!

Great addition to the series. can't wait to see what happens in the third. The narration is great, bit the recording seems a bit cut off at times. There were several times words got cut off at the end and a few words seemed to be missing altogether. Still totally worth listening though!

As always Rebecca Zanetti delivers!
A little sci-fi, bad boy, crime and tough ladies.

She can take this odd mixture and create a marvelous story that flows with adventure, wonderful characters and of course love.

This was a fun read and kept me interested from front to back with a lovely sigh.

Rosalie is assigned a new case by her law firm. Get Alexei out of jail and prove he didn’t kill his brother. As she prepares for a new trial, she finds out more than she expected on many levels. Alexei is in charge. Alexei is dominating. Alexei can get her hot and wet in seconds and even the belt punishment and humiliation doesn’t diminish her pleasure. Finding evidence of his innocence is going to be difficult. He doesn’t have many friends but he does have enemies and more than one want him eliminated.
Can Rosie survive her entrance into the Russian mafia? Maybe her seven house borders can lend a hand.

🎧I alternated between an ebook and audiobook. The performances by Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield are fantastic. Erin brings Rosalie to vivid life with her sarcasm, snark, passion and love of the legal world. Lance performs with a Russian accent to match Alexei’s origin. Together with their POV chapters, the narrators help the story flow quickly with danger, sex and power seeking motivations.
Erin has performed hundreds of stories for many blockbuster authors and has a wonderful grasp of character and diction. Lance has also created audiobooks in the hundreds with various accents and romance genres.
I listened to this at 1.5 to more closely follow along with an ebook copy.

Dark and powerful. Steamy and delicious. A Snow White retelling that is not for the innocent.

Amazing book

I loved this book so much! The characters are well written. The plot was great, kept your attention from the very beginning of the book, with perfect twists that you didn't see coming. I have the signed hardcover (which is absolutely stunning), the ebook, and the audiobook. I really enjoyed having the variety of options for the book and felt the narrators did an excellent job with the characters! Excellent book and series so far! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Coercion and control are not sexy

Was really disappointed in the lack of consent displayed by the ‘hero’ main character. Being aroused is not consent - stop writing as though sexual abuse is sexy - consent is sexy, a heroine clearly saying no, and being turned on and aroused but not agreeing to sex is rape.
I like alpha, take charge, forceful and rough sexual storytelling, I never find sexual assault sexy and it actually confuses women reading this to think that being forced and coerced by a man is fine.
