Publisher's Summary

Royce Wheeler thought he had it all - a great corporate job, a secure relationship, and a nice home in the city. When his omega fell pregnant, Royce was overjoyed - until he realized that the baby wasn't his. His partner had cheated on him with Royce's own boss! With his relationship in tatters and his career on the line, Royce is desperate to get out of the city and gain some perspective.

Patrick Murrin is facing a tough decision. As the only heir to his widowed omega father, he will be expected to take over the family business when his dad retires in a few months. He doesn't hate the diner - he works there himself, and with the amount of time he spent there as a child, it's like a second home. But his real passion is art, and the idea of never being able to follow his dream makes Patrick's heart sink in his chest.

A chance meeting between Royce and Patrick ignites an instant attraction - but when Royce's ex shows up the same day Patrick realizes his own unplanned pregnancy, claiming that the baby is his after all, Royce’s choice is painted in broad strokes: take a chance in this small town with an omega that makes his heart race? Or return to the city that used to hold his dreams?

Carter’s Crossing is a quaint little town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where some people go to get away, others arrive to start over, and plenty just find themselves when they’re lost or brokenhearted. This contemporary mpreg series is for adults only and is sure to leave you believing in the magic of true love and happily ever afters! This series is a stand-alone series and can be listened to in any order.

Endearing

I love coming back to Carter’s Crossing. Here we go, with another wonderful story. Royce and Patrick are such lovable characters. Both men are struggling, but for different reasons. Royce is a successful business man, who has not been lucky in relationships. Patrick helps his omega dad run the family business, but his real passion is his art. Royce decides he will approach Patrick differently than he has approached others in the past. He can see that Patrick wants someone who is serious about a relationship. As Royce and Patrick become close, Royce ‘s past interferes. Carter’s Crossing is truly a magical place. Love finds a way to give Royce and Patrick what they really need and want. Come to Carter’s Crossing and experience all the magic. Thanks Aiden, for a wonderful story.

as good as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

an almost perfect read

I was not a fan of the voice the narrator used for Patrick, the Omega. I don't think he has to sound that feminine just because he's an Omega. That being said, I loved this story. The characters really drew me in and I was really rooting for both of them by the end. When they were nervous, I was too. I cheered with them and I laughed. Can't wait for the next book!

A great beginning to a new series

I really enjoyed this Audible Book by Mr. Bates. Mr. Woodson's narration was very captive for this listener. His fluctuation in reading added a really nice nuance to the over all enjoyment of the story. The developing relationship between Royce and Patrick was touching, but full of angst, turmoil & dis-trust. All because of Royce's pregnant. cheating, dirty, rotten, nasty (you get the idea that he *isssed me off) ex. Brendan who had the gaul to sleep around with Royce's boss Dan! What kind of boss would do that to his trusting business partner!! Then Brendan shows up in Carter's Crossing professing his undying B/S!! And has the gut's to tell Royce that the baby is really his after all. Man oh man was I upset at them, I hollered and *itched at my Kindle over that whole fiasco. But in reality; that just proves the writing quality and character development that Mr. Bates is so good at. I promise you; that you will not be disappointed whether you get the Audible Book or the "E" book, you will be in for a real evening of enjoyable entertainment. An avid reader in Rock Tavern, NY.

Patrick & Royce

Patrick knows something is wrong with his relationships and the Omegas he chooses, but he cannot seem to break the pattern and finds someone special. Patrick is waiting for Mr Right, in every way. He loves his home but hates his future is already set. They have many ups and downs in their relationship. I do wish Royce would have made a different initial decision. he should know better than to trust his ex.

Sweet Story

This is a sweet story of finding true love where and when least expected. Royce leaves the city and goes back to his hometown after finding out his boyfriend, now ex, was cheating on him with his boss! There he meets Patrick, a sweet omega, and they have an instant attraction. I really enjoyed watching their relationship unfold and seeing them grow closer over time. They make a great couple but have a few bumps in the road that they must overcome together to get their HEA. The narrator did a great performance with all of the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Fantastic New Series

This is a fantastic new series by Aiden Bates narrated by new narrator to me Robin Woodson. Robin Woodson gave a great performance and has great potential to be a new favorite narrator of mine. I look forward to seeing more from him.

Aiden Bates gives us another delightful series filled with believable and lovable characters. I love Bates' books because you can always rely on a well-written story that gives you an easy Escape from reality and one that will always have a happy ending even if there are bumps along the way.

Feel Good Story

This was a small town low angst feel good omegaverse romance. It wasn't a book to make you think deep thoughts or cry with the MCs. It was a escape into your fantasy romance where nothing is to hard, everything is fixable, and love always triumphs in the end.

Great story and wonderful audio

This themes of this story cover betrayal, recovery and unexpected love. Royce is betrayed in the most egregious way possible and he decides to leave on vacation to his brother's home. Patrick is an omega with a problem. Keep the family business or be true to his art. That's all I'm saying about the story because it is too good to risk ruining for you all. Robin Woodson does a fantastic job with the narration. It is easy to hear the difference in the characters voices and all the voices match Aiden Bates's descriptions of the men. I was very pleased with the pace of his narration as well as for the diction and phrasing. This audio book is well worth the money spent for it.

Brilliant

I loved listening Royce and Patrick’s story. The narrator really brought the story to life. As they both realised that they could have what they had always wanted with other, even though Royce’s ex boyfriend tried to mess things up for them.

What a mess Royce got himself into!

Royce had it good, his job and his boyfriend until he found said boyfriend with his boss 🤦🏻‍♀️ He finds Patrick though, a sweet hard working and flirty omega. He is just the right one until his ex shows up with the worst news. I enjoyed the read, Royce’s brother is a hoot; and the whole affair with Pat is messy and full of mistakes but also full of love and mutual admiration. Thomas is also quite a character, I’d like to see his story told.
Good narration specially on the sexy scenes. Well done!
