Publisher's summary

Seahorse has been given a second chance at life. But there’s a catch: he can't create any new memories with the people he loves. Every morning at sunrise, they forget he came back to life.

When Orca, his mate, starts experiencing side effects from the daily memory loss, Seahorse knows he has to leave him behind. Otherwise, Orca could lose his sanity.

But Orca doesn't want to let Seahorse go. Even if that means making a deal with a dangerous warlock.

All she wants is Orca's voice. That's a small price to pay to be with the man he loves. Or so he thinks.

Omega from the Beach is an mpreg romance set in the omegaverse. It's the second book in the Heron Manor series, and will not make sense unless you've listened to the first book.

A beautifully told romance

A lovely listen. Seahorse and Orca’s story had tons of emotion, longing, and a triumphant happy ending. It also has a wonderful performance from the narrator, who really brings the story to life. The world of Heron Manor is so richly constructed, I especially love the blend of fantasy and very real world issues. The two main characters are so well developed, the dedicated Seahorse and Orca have for each is epic. The path to their happy ending is not an easy one, but filled with humor, love, and a amazing fight to be together. Beautifully told story and an excellent performance. Highly recommend ❤️

So sweet and also painful (in a good way)

Amy Bellows is great at writing both angsty and fluffy romances, where there are significant stakes for the characters, but also so much intimacy and sweet fluffy romance moments. This was no different - it's a very cute (and painful at times) alpha merman x omega merman sequel to the Omega from the Ocean Little Mermaid retelling!

I reaaaaaallly appreciated how much of an emphasis there is surrounding creative ways to have non-p*netrative s*x. It was very refreshing seeing new ways partners can please each other and adjust to the other's needs. Loved loved loved that aspect and would recommend the book for this element alone.

There also are some cute "fish out of water" elements and this had some endearing explanations of what land folks do that differ from mer folks in the water.

The narration for this was great, I really enjoy Lance West's narration and this narrator has done quite of few of Bellows' audiobooks which is nice to see consistency!

Definitely need to read book 1 to understand what's happening and understand the plot. It also really helps to show some redemption arcs, and the sacrifices that specific characters make. There are some painful moments, and also some very satisfying moments.

Serving Others

This story is full of so much wonderful, touching, sad, happy, dramatic moments. I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Just be ready for a wild ride. This story overlaps the first book but the perspective of the events is different. I loved this book . I listened to the audio version and it was well done and enhanced the dramatic moments.

Omega from the beach

There were so many emotions and it made me want to cry in the best way a few times. There was so much longing which made the triumphs even sweeter. Orca and Seahorse have so much to go through and I loved them both so much. I love their romance and they were so well suited to each other. I couldn’t stop listening because I needed to know how these two would get their happy ending. The author did a fantastic job with this story and the narrator brought the amazing characters even more to life. I don’t want to spoil anything but it’s so worth the listen.

This is quite the journey

This is truly a moving story and I highly recommend it. I strongly suggest that you listen to this series in order though technically you could get away without prior knowledge. Seahorse and Orca's story isn't an easy one. Both have to fight for their love and Orca's grief is strong. There is a ton of heart, healing, and heat in this story. The characters are amazing and very well done and emotionally this one hit me a bit harder than the first. I love the world that Amy has created here and I hope we get a chance to revisit it.

Lance does an amazing job of brining these characters to life. His performance is moving and definitely gives strength to the emotional journey that this story took me on. It was easy to tell when the dialogue switched characters and I thought he did a really great job of fitting the voice to the characters.

I highly recommend this seires and hope you take a chance on it! Seahorse and Orca are definitely unforgettable and I think you'll find some favorites in many of the side characters as well.

Fun story!

I really like the characters in this series and enjoy seeing Seahorse and Orca get their HEA. I also like seeing the crossover between this series and the Pebble Gifters series. It's tiny and you need not have read the other series, but I think these small references are fun.

it wouldn't be Amy Bellows without a nesting scene

another cute one from this author. a hard fought HEA for Seahorse and Orca while they navigate all the rules and changes thrust upon them.

it's been a long time since I've read the first one in the Heron Manor series and some of the details and world building "rules" were a little confusing from not remembering but not enough that I was lost.

this was a new narrator for me and I think he did a good job and I would listen to more from him.

Very Good

The book was very good. I've read several of Amy Bellows books and liked them all. I do give heads up that this book was very emotional and I started crying in the grocery store. They weren't sad tears. I would highly recommend this book.
