I was gifted this book by a friend. I was actually thinking it was going to be a light sappy story. This was not the case. It’s not just a story of a stolen dog, it is the story of courage, of human kindness, of the power of faith and love. Oliver will make you laugh and make you cry but best of all it will make you pause and reflect on this thing called life and the fact that it’s not how we live it, it’s who we let guide it.

I really love this book! I could relate to the story as it went along I live through every moment along with Steven looking for his dog. A very lovely book and I always love a happy ending. So many people go through life without ever having the love of a pet. The authors did a wonderful job of capturing and describing the feeling of guilt, despair, and utter torment over losing a pet.
The refreshing knowledge that there are many good people out there if one just takes the time to look.

Beautiful story

This is such a beautiful story about connections, faith and hope. Never giving up. Forgiveness. The thought that maybe everything happens for a reason, good or bad. Something bad happening, brings out the good in the community. The journey and the end result restores the faith and hope and connections once thought we’re lost.

such a wonderful story

I love how vividly Steven expressed all the emotional turmoil he went through when his dog was stolen. I could relate and I felt elated when they were reunited as if it were me. and I love the uplifting ending with the scripture. I loved experiencing and witnessing his spiritual growth throughout the whole process.
