There’s a rule in hockey: you don’t touch a teammate’s sister.
But from the way Alexei Petrov looks at me, I know he’s already broken it.

He doesn’t say much. Mostly because he’s still learning English. But there’s nothing lost in translation when it comes to the way he watches me—like I’m the one bright thing in a world that’s been too cold for too long.

I’m not part of the team. I’m just Jack’s little sister and personal assistant. The one who’s supposed to stay professional, stay off-limits, and stay far, far away from the six-foot-four Ukrainian defenseman who guards the net like a fortress… and guards me like he was born to do it.

He watches me like he’s memorizing me before I disappear.
And somehow, without even trying, he makes me feel like I’m the only thing in the room that matters.

I’m not supposed to fall for him.
But I think I already have.

And if Jack ever finds out?
