Acerca de esta escucha
Twenty years ago Dana Logan reacted to this statement as any new mother would...with disbelief. Tomorrow? Didn't the years ahead stretch like a long, sunny road...with no end in sight?
Well, Dana's just fallen into that end. Hard. It's as if her whole life has been a prep course, only, without warning, they've canceled the test. Her children don't seem to need anything she is able to give.
Okay, so she'll just have to find someone who does want what she has to offer, even if she has to drive into hell to do it.
Judging by the sign she just passed, "Welcome to Hell. Population 512", she already has.

I really enjoyed this book
The main character felt like a real person. She is learning things about herself in a way that didn't feel trite.

Ungrateful Brat
I tried to relate to the main character Dana, a spoiled 46 year old wife who never worked a day in her life. Most single working mothers would kill to have financial security and a housekeeper, but Dana just whined that her life had no meaning when her her 2nd child left for college.
What an ungrateful brat... I could not finish since there was no way this shallow, self absorbed women could morph into a caring, productive person.. I almost felt sorry for Dana's children, who learned from her example that life revolved around their every whim and desire.
The author seemed talented with a great sense of humor but I could stand any of her characters.
