Story
It’s the 1960s, and nothing reflects the cultural revolution more than music. When Kennedy Barnes, a runaway teen, stumbles upon a rock and roll song recorded by a blues musician in the 1930s, he heads west in search of the man behind the music. Willie Johnson, ex-bluesman, is a motel laundry worker with a bad hip and a dark past. When Kennedy arrives with the promise of riches, Willie wonders if he’s finally getting his shot at the big time. But is fame worth the cost of dredging up past sorrows?

Story
Elijah remains the last person alive after the world ends. Wandering in desolation, he solemnly recounts his life story, unhappy with what he sees. He is discovered by alien twins, who themselves are the sole survivors of a crashed UFO - one of many spreading deaths across the face of the planet. The three awkwardly befriend each other, Elijah learning of them as they already know everything about him - including the purpose as to his being spared death.

While many books promote redistribution as an issue of fairness, Lawrence C. Marsh's Optimal Money Flow explicitly sets aside the fairness issue to argue instead that redistribution is imperative for economic efficiency, stability, and maximum economic growth. Marsh introduces his unique money flow paradigm as the replacement for other economic paradigms that have failed at addressing the situation we face today.

Publisher's Summary
From what we have relearned in recent history about the way magnetism, gravity, centrifugal and centripetal force, as well as the many other forces one giant body exerts upon another, we know the medievalists had it right all along. When the moon gets too close and too bright, it makes us crazy.
In that spirit, editor Lancelot Schaubert rounded up sci-fi and fantasy writers Anne Greenwood Brown, Juliet Marillier, LJ Cohen, Anthony G. Cirilla, FC Shultz, and Emily Munro to write about cosmic influence. The fantasy writers took a more mythological approach, speaking of the symbolic (or perhaps godly) Mercury and Mars and Neptune. The sci-fi writers tell you what it is like to live on Jupiter and Uranus. All of them, though, speak of the influence of what one writer called the music of the spheres.
These are stories Of Gods and Globes. They're quite the ride: They made the editor laugh and cry and chilled him to the bone with terror. And one of the stories made him long for a home that...well, for a home he doesn't think he's ever been to before.
