Publisher's Summary

I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door there was going to be trouble. Lots of it. And trouble's the last thing I need, since I'm not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet 13 billion light-years away. Plus, if there's one thing I know, it's that humans can't be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. Cuz they are. But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her - or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I'm the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one girl might mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy - the Arum - and I need to stay on my game. Falling for Katy - a human - won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that's one thing I'll never let happen.

Only first Book from Daemon's POV. EXCELLENT!

If you buy the book from Amazon, you get Daemon's point of view on the first three books in print. I thought this would be all three books, but it is not. I actually liked Damons point of view better than Katy's. I also didn't like the narrator for Katy.

Love books with the male point of view!

Sure, love the story but why does the audio book only cover the first book? Where are the other two books? I expected this Oblivion to match the eBook.

Love this series!

This series is so fluffing good! I loved the characters bore that i can explain. They are so well developed. Jennifer has this way of extracting all the emotion from you that she can so that you feel wholly invested in the book. I . Loved . It. I have read the whole series and can tell you it is one of my faves. Keep going!

Amazing performance

Would you consider the audio edition of Oblivion to be better than the print version?

I love this story and I love Daemon. Rob Shapiro's performance is great. His voice is smooth and sounds just as I imagine Daemon to sound. My only complaint is that since the first book, Daemon has been pronounced wrong, but that is not this narrator's fault, he has to continue to be consistent.

Which character – as performed by Rob Shapiro – was your favorite?

Daemon, of course.

Jennifer is A Genius!

Jennifer is a genius! I have read many of these types of series and have never had the privilege of this kind of reading satisfaction. This is the same story as Obsidian, but in Daemon’s point of view. In the first book, this guy is such a jerk that you really cannot understand why a girl would put up with him. Isn’t that emotional abuse? However, in this book you learn why he acts the way he does at times. He is actually a protective person, especially when it comes to his sister. Someone he loved had died because he failed to protect them, and he was not going to let that happen again.

I actually laughed throughout this book and his reaction to certain things that happen. You don’t get that when you read the first book. He just comes across as all the names she called him in the book. Ha ha. In this one, you learn how he truly feels. I really hope that this is not the last time we get the point of view from Daemon.

Rob did an excellent job narrating this book. He made Daemon come alive and actually become likable. You kind of rooted for him.

Repetitive

So much of this book was complete repetition of the first book. I didn’t feel like I gained much incite by reading 1.5. Not enough new material to warrant an extra book.

Men for the win

This mans POV is better than the girls version. Still listened to both but preferred this. The narrator is delicious. The male, daemon is out of this world not realistic but still so swoon-worthy.
This is a delightful light YA read.
Looking forward to the next.

Probably my #1 book boyfriend

*sigh* Daemon Black. There's nothing else to say I loved his POV. Yes, it's basically nothing new but I still thoroughly enjoyed the story.

Rob Shapiro was fine though a bit slow. I had to speed it up to 1.5 which I usually never do.
