Publisher's Summary

I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door there was going to be trouble. Lots of it. And trouble's the last thing I need, since I'm not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet 13 billion light-years away. Plus, if there's one thing I know, it's that humans can't be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. Cuz they are. But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her - or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I'm the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one girl might mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy - the Arum - and I need to stay on my game. Falling for Katy - a human - won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that's one thing I'll never let happen.

Love books with the male point of view!

Sure, love the story but why does the audio book only cover the first book? Where are the other two books? I expected this Oblivion to match the eBook.

Only first Book from Daemon's POV. EXCELLENT!

If you buy the book from Amazon, you get Daemon's point of view on the first three books in print. I thought this would be all three books, but it is not. I actually liked Damons point of view better than Katy's. I also didn't like the narrator for Katy.

this book is ...

identical to the last one, it’s just a different pov. the first book is told from Katy’s pov and the second from Daemon’s. i’m giving it a poor review bc not only is it the same book, the narration isn’t that great And you’re given a better look at what a total assbag Daemon is. not to mention, i Hate when the female lead falls in love with the guy who’s the biggest asshole of all. THis guy is plain stupid and cruel and you Know he’s gonna win her heart in the end bc she doesn’t stand Up for herself! grr!! if girls/women are Really this stupid? well, there’s very little hope ...

Love this series!

This series is so fluffing good! I loved the characters bore that i can explain. They are so well developed. Jennifer has this way of extracting all the emotion from you that she can so that you feel wholly invested in the book. I . Loved . It. I have read the whole series and can tell you it is one of my faves. Keep going!

Amazing performance

Would you consider the audio edition of Oblivion to be better than the print version?

I love this story and I love Daemon. Rob Shapiro's performance is great. His voice is smooth and sounds just as I imagine Daemon to sound. My only complaint is that since the first book, Daemon has been pronounced wrong, but that is not this narrator's fault, he has to continue to be consistent.

Which character – as performed by Rob Shapiro – was your favorite?

Daemon, of course.

Repetitive

So much of this book was complete repetition of the first book. I didn’t feel like I gained much incite by reading 1.5. Not enough new material to warrant an extra book.

Half a story

I'm not sure why this wasn't combined with the 1st book. It would have enhanced the storyline and explained some things that made more sense after listening to the 2nd. (1.5) But it made for tedious and repetitive reading since you know what is going to happen. It's a bit interesting to hear the male perspective but again, would have been better to hear it together with the female narrator.

Men for the win

This mans POV is better than the girls version. Still listened to both but preferred this. The narrator is delicious. The male, daemon is out of this world not realistic but still so swoon-worthy.
This is a delightful light YA read.
Looking forward to the next.

Great narration of an amazing book.

I absolutely love this book. Rob Shapiro really captures Daemon's personality perfectly. Great read.

Such a good read!

I love this narrator, it feels like he suits Daemon down to the ground! And I love seeing this story from Daemon’s POV, it makes everything he did make so much sense! I wish I didn’t wait as long as I did to read this!
