love Mila and Kia

I absolutely loved the ebook and couldn't wait for the audiobook version and it was so good, but I wish they had a different narrator woman's voice this one was ok but she did make me want to fall asleep and we needed more of the man's voice in the beginning. I truly love this story as Kia is one of my favorites.

scattered storyline, scattered thoughts

I usually love Aurora Rose Reynolds books so I didn't let the vague synopsis deter me. I also took the non-positive and mediocre reviews with a grain of salt, unfortunately this time they were on point. The storyline had potential but there were so many unknowns to the reader from the get-go that it was hard to make sense of why things were happening. The way the details of the backstory were released to the reader was "scattered," for lack of a better word. This method of writing had my thoughts scattered all over the place while I was reading. Was it a mafia story or wasn't it? Was the MMCs past important to the story or not? Was there a traumatic rape or similar incident in the MFC's past or wasn't there? Sometimes I felt like I figured out enough of the details the plot was eluding to that I was finally going to be able to deep dive into the story and become immersed (which I really wanted), but everytime it got close to that point then another hint of a detail came out that made me reel back and question whether I was reading into things correctly or not. It was a rollercoaster of sorts but not really the fun kind. I also read the first book in this series and it had similar issues but not quite as extreme as this one.

I won't let this book turn me off to Aurora Rose Reynolds in the future because I've read too many great ones from her, but I might be a little hesitant to take a chance on another vague synopsis. I prefer to get a solid feel for what the book is about from the synopsis so I know that I'm diving into something I typically like.

A Confusing mess

I never thought I would dislike an Aurora rose Reynolds book, but-ta da-I dislike this one!! I was excited to hear about this couples story, but it was convoluted, needed editing-just confusing. I would NOT recommend
