The Earth has less than 100 years of livable conditions. A new war divides people into factions: preaching drifts into space in God's hands and trying to save humanity by moving to a long-forgotten colony. A small group visited the colony, but what they found there could never have been predicted, not even by Vist. Who is Vist? The last survivor of their race, the only one who makes survival possible...before the world dies.

The world-building is rich, and I could easily imagine the fading Earth and the strange, forgotten colony. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys futuristic plots with twists and emotional depth. It’s not just a sci-fi adventure it also makes you reflect on what it means to survive and believe.

Good listen

It’s not just about space travel it’s about faith, fear, and the fight to survive. The narration was clear and expressive, which made the story even more engaging. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Really cool sci-fi setup. Earth’s nearly done, people are split between faith and escaping to space, and then there's this mysterious colony. I liked how it all felt big and dramatic without saying too much. Good characters, and good pacing too. Great beginning for the serie, I'll def keep reading/listening.

Good sci fi story, looking forward to the rest

I had listened to book 2 before this book 1 and it's nice to have this context! Vist and his companions don't quite end up at their destination and some end up in the "enemies"/crazies hands. Still the mission is what they need to carry out so it's/they are not compromised. As futuristic sci-fi as this is, there are elements of today's world that make it relatable and even the machine-like characters somewhat human. Some of the elements in this remind me of some of Terry Brooks' stories but of course this is its own! This is a great story for those that enjoy the mix of the future with enough of the realistic elements that make it seem possible! Characters are lovable and memorable and the story keeps you wondering what is coming next. You definitely can't predict this future!

It had me caught up from the first chapter. I haven’t finished it yet but it’s good. I like the British accent the narrator has (or uses). Still easy to listen to but I can’t do 2x speed or I get lost. Would definitely recommend for sci fi lovers.

Captivating epic adventure.

I didn’t know Anka Troitsky and thought this would be another boring sci-fi novel, but to my surprise, I really enjoyed it.

The narrator did a great job bringing Vist to life, you can feel the loneliness, determination, and mystery in their voice, and the different tones and effects help immerse you in this dying world.

The dual timelines kept me engaged, though I’ll admit they can be tricky if you take long breaks. The world-building is vivid, and the reveal about the colony was worth the wait.

I’m looking forward to the sequels, which I’m sure will be 5 stars!

Tricky to follow, impossible to leave!

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but Object and Vist quickly pulled me into its unique world. The writing is vivid, and there’s a quiet intensity to the story that kept me turning the pages. Vist is a fascinating character mysterious, layered, and not at all what you’d expect. The book left me with more questions than answers in the best way possible, and I’m definitely looking forward to Book 2.

Intriguing and imaginative debut

I really liked the unique concept Earth is on the edge of collapse, and humanity must decide between faith and survival in space. The story kept me turning pages, especially when the group finally reaches the forgotten colony.

Object & Vist A Dystopian Technothriller Series. This is the first book in the series of this dystopian technothriller and sets the stage for the other audiobooks to follow. This listen keeps you engaged and on your toes with each chapter moving between two different timelines. I won't give a spoiler alert especially with other books still to come in the series.
