Publisher's summary

"You met them in the Order of the Dragon Knights. Now, journey to the realm of the Fae and witness their legends!"

Fenian Warrior, Rory MacGregor’s love conquests are legendary, but he has never spoken of the one mortal female who captured his heart. After his dark secret is finally revealed, he is ordered to return and seal the wounds left open by her death. Yet, he finds the timeline altered and swears an oath to rewrite fate, even if it brings about his own death.

Erina MacIntyre is known for her healing herbs and love charms. Determined to aid others, she refuses to listen to the whispers that call her a witch. When a Highlander steps forth into her path, he ignites a thread of strange familiarity and sparks a flame of desire she is unable to control.

Can the destiny of two lovers find love once more among the ashes of death and betrayal? Or will history repeat itself, leaving a scorching path of destruction for both mortals and Fae alike?

Spellbinding!

The wait for Rory MacGregor’s story was certainly well worth it because this book was absolutely spellbinding! It had me captivated every minute of it. My heart went out to Rory right from the beginning and I wanted to reach in and enfold him in my arms and tell him not to give up and that it would all work out. This was such an emotional story. Erina MacIntyre stole Rory’s heart, however, she being human and he a Fenian Warrior, love between them was forbidden, so he has kept his love for her hidden, even through the tragedy of losing her. Now he must face tragedy once more. Can he endure it a second time or will he defy the laws and try to prevent it this time? There are many twists and turns to the story. Erina also stole my heart and she had me wanting to comfort her and make things better for her and Rory. I love how characters from previous books are brought into the story and yet it can still be listened to as a stand-alone. I am looking forward to Liam’s story and am hoping to hear more about the new generation of Dragon Knights. This will be a series I will listen to over and over again. I never tire of Mary Morgan’s stories and will never hesitate to purchase one of her books! Jamie Dione did a fantastic job with the narration. He put so much emotion into it and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this emotionally charged story.

Great story

I enjoyed this easy listen. It had a lot of unique ideas when it comes to this genre. I didn’t read the first in this series and I wasn’t lost but I do want to now read it. Over all it’s worth a listen. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

I need more stars!

An amazing story of love and bravery. Although not usually a Historical genre fan, I love Mary Morgan's stories. Some time travel, some repeat characters I already love, Scotland, fabulous narration, lots of steam, and a wonderful love story.

She's a healer and lives alone in her own little cabin, despite her brother's wishes. A woman alone in the 1700s can be in danger and she was, rescued by a handsome warrior traveling alone--he said. This wasn't their first meeting but she didn't know that. He had loved and lost her now he had a second chance to save her.

There is so much to this story regarding the Fenian Warrior history and purpose. The men and their relationships. So interesting as well as the love story. The time and witch burnings bring a frightening look at this Scottish history as well.

In reality, he is a Fenian warrior send back in time to rescue the woman he loves. Falling for a human isn't allowed. Fenian Warriors are sent to protect humans and their own realm. The story of their past is full of heartbreak and lost love.

The narrator is fantastic. I loved him. Fan of the genre or new to it this is one you will love. Second in the series, however, fine to read alone, I read it first. (listened)
