Evelyn Foster is finally confident that Atlas is ready to pass the rigorous tests to become a fully certified cadaver dog. After a flurry of last-minute training to get her furry buddy as ready as he can possibly be, Eve meets with experienced volunteers from Michigan Mutts Search and Aid to put Atlas through the first in a series of tests.

Excited to get him started, Eve is entirely baffled when Atlas completely ignores repeated commands to search and keeps circling back around to one of the volunteers, a man from Marquette. It seems as though Atlas is more interested in the treats that he can smell in the man’s pocket than in doing his job.

Disappointed and frustrated, Eve is on the verge of giving up and going home but decides to trust Atlas’ instincts. She asks the volunteer from Marquette if they can search him and his vehicle. The volunteer agrees and Atlas gives a hard alert when he’s taken to the volunteer’s trunk.

Atlas passes his test with flying colors when the trunk is opened, and a body is discovered.

The volunteer claims that he is innocent, and he is eventually allowed to leave, but Eve suspects that he knows more than he’s letting on.

Trust your dog!

Nose Knows, book four of Search and Rescue Cozy Mysteries by Patti Benning, this series continues to capture my attention. Patti has the ability with her writing to draw me in to the mystery from the very beginning. Like Eve, I instantly put my sleuthing hat on! This one had me guessing all the way through. When I thought I knew who was responsible, a new clue popped up.

Eve has made the trip out to a new section of the state forest for Atlas to undertake a test for him to be a fully certified cadaver dog. What follows is nothing short of intriguing.

Along with the mystery Eve is keen to solve, I am really enjoying the developing story between Tiana and Levi. The support these three good friends offer each other is heartwarming. Will Eve find someone special to share her life with? I hope so!

Julie McKay’s performance throughout Nose Knows is outstanding. Completely engrossed in Julie’s ability to seamlessly transition between all the characters, male and female, had me believing this is a multicast performance rather than solo.

Thank you Patti for an intriguing story, and to Blue Nose for an entertaining advanced listener copy, a joy to listen! I look forward to more of the Search and Rescue Cozy Mysteries.

Adorable cozy mystery series with the added bonus of furry friends! This series is a bunch of short and sweet novellas about Evelyn Foster and her two search dogs. Great series! I cant wait to read more about Evelyn Foster!

Eve takes her cadaver search dog Atlas, for qualification. As she is about to start the test, Atlas alerts on a nearby car, where a dead body is found. Now, she has to help the police solve this crime.

I love this series!

This is the fourth book in the Search & Rescue Cozy Mysteries series. I love this series, and it's another great addition. I loved to follow Evely in her adventures. The plot is well crafted and intriguing. I liked the intrigue and the twists and turns. Julie McKay did a fantastic job with the narration. #BlueNoseAudio

Atlas is certified!

Atlas is finally getting certified as a cadaver dog! Eve is upset when she thinks he's failing his certification when wait, there's an actual dead body. This cozy mystery is full of secrets, family drama, possible affairs, and fellow rescue dog Jackson is stuck in the middle. Eve really steps up to the plate and is slightly overwhelmed with solving the mystery and handling 3 dogs at once.
The story was well-written and Julie McKay's narration was simply outstanding. My dad was surprised there was only one narrator, as I listened at home due to the holiday. What a talent!
