Acerca de esta escucha
Many of us know people whom society and doctors would consider personality disordered or mentally ill. We often use these labels for diagnoses and treatment. Sometimes the labels aren't accurate due to difficulties in testing for disorders and due to the differing views of the physicians and psychoanalysts. But are these people really disordered after all? Is there truly a normal personality that exists, and if it does exist - what is it?

Again, author argues against autism
As with her other book I read, Snow argues against autism and the like. She claims the possibility that the autistic brain is underdeveloped sociallly, and has not yet achieved the same evolutionary advancements as neurotypicals. However, there has been much evidence and more theories of Autism being the next step in evolution, producing very bright problem solvers and inventors.
I understand Snow labels this book as an argument, so she is free to include her own opinion. But, she just comes across as condescending towards those with neurological disorders.

Disgusting
This author enjoyed a severity of ignorance I had heretofore not thought possible. He includes people with autism and psychotic killers on the same spectrum of humanity.
People with and without autism can be both killers or saints, and everything in between. Autism is a biological difference in how information is perceived, interpreted, and expressed: it has nothing to do with personality.
Autistics, or people with autism, are shy introverts, outgoing extroverts, compassionate, selfish, giving, narcissistic, kind, cruel... in short, "If you've met one person with autism, you're met one person with autism".
This tome represents the worst possible misinformation regarding people with autism today.
