Publisher's Summary

Over 4,000 students gathered at the University of Michigan to hear Republican Party candidate Ron Paul speak. As he began to address the topics of monetary policy and the coming depression, a chant rose from the crowd, "End the Fed! End the Fed!" As dollar bills were lit on fire and thrown into the night skies, it became clear that the real problem, one that nobody in the media was talking about, was the central bank - an unconstitutional entity and a political, economic, and moral disaster.

Most people don't give a second thought to the Federal Reserve, but they should. In End the Fed, Ron Paul argues that the Fed is both corrupt and dangerously autonomous, inflating currency today at nearly a Weimar or Zimbabwe level. What most people don't realize is that the Fed is actually working against their own personal interests. Ron Paul's urgent appeal tells us how we went wrong and what we need to do fix America's economic structure for future generations.

Very clear and understandable

Representative Paul has done a great service to our country in explaining a very complex and universally misunderstood topic in a clear and understandable way. We as a nation and people are in a very precarious position. We must take back our country and the only way to do this is for an enlightened citizenry to elect representatives who will govern for the good of all citizens and not the privileged few. I believe this is the answer but I do not think it will happen. The only question in my mind is how soon the economic collapse and ensuing chaos will happen. What kind of nation will emerge? Men like Ron Paul are sounding the warning but not enough people are listening, certainly not our Federal representatives. Oh well, thanks for being a true patriot Ron.

Eye opening information!!

This a book/historical lesson we should all hear. It affects all of our lives.
Let's hope it helps open the American eyes before our economy is dragged further down. The price for all these bailouts and takeovers needs to be addressed. This book will open your eyes like never before.

GREAT information!

Ron Paul did excellent work in creating this book. He keeps the book full of fact based subject matter but allows enough breathing room to keep it intresting. I believe every American should read this book to come to an understanding of the problems our nation will face if we do nothing. The book is full of great hisorical facts from as early as the 1700's to our current present era.

A must read for every American.

Ron Paul has made a rather convincing argument that the unconstitutional, immoral and corrupt Federal Reserve needs to be abolished and that a return to sound money through a gold standard and free markets be reimplemented as the constitution stimpulates. Ron Paul is the voice of liberty and reason and challenges his followers to educate themselves about just how unconstitutional our government has become, how much power has been usurped and how much of our liberty is being encrouched upon. I recommend this book for anyone that values their liberty or wants a better understanding of the federal reserve's role within our government, economy and society.

Most important reading of the year

This book challenges so much of our established system. Everything from government to our economy's foundation and its institutions. Its daring, though provoking, and well meaning. There is a reason so many Americans are enthusiastic about Dr. Paul. Read this book and find out why!

wealth of information,

He brings up great points and information to make you think. With the country up to its eye balls in debt and not end in site to the borrowing. Not balanced budget on the horizon it makes sense to think out of the normal box.

Informative

The book does a lot to inform what goes on with the fed and congress. The narrator was good but keep the same tone throughout, so the book felt the same througout. I had to review some chapters twice as Ron Paul puts a lot of government detail in the book. We maybe so deep in with the Fed in the US that it may be too difficult to pull out. Our freedom is at stake.

Ron Paul has his facts right.

I have a lot of respect for Ron Paul but I have to be honest, this book was not easy to get through. Lots of information repeats itself through the book and I don't understand why this narrator was picked for the book. I like his voice but he is way to soft spoken. His voice puts me to sleep.

yawn.....zzzzzz zzzz zz
