Publisher's summary

A grandmaster of lies and deception

Drake Radcliffe has spent half his life in the shadows. Recruited by the CIA when he was barely out of high school, Drake doesn’t know how to have a normal life. While most people his age were playing sports or video games, he was playing spy games with the world’s most dangerous adversaries. It has been a life filled with thrills and adrenaline, but it’s also been lonely. All that might change when a mistake from Drake’s past rears its ugly head and he’s forced to face the only woman he ever loved—the one he’d vowed to stay away from.

A beacon of love and compassion

Taylor Cline committed the cardinal sin in her world—she fell for another operative. Drake was everything she wanted in a man, until he broke her heart. She had one unforgettable night with him and then he never looked back. Her future threatened and family in ruins, she shut down and moved on, hoping to never see him again. Just as she is beginning to put it all behind her, a critical assignment puts her under his authority and right back in his arms.

A deadly mission that brings them together

From the wilds of Wyoming to the glittering cities of Europe, Drake and Taylor must race against time to uncover the truth and expose an evil organization. The stakes couldn’t be higher. If they fail, the world could crumble. If they succeed, they could finally have everything their hearts desire.

Drake is so good!

If you are like me you’ve been following the series for years. There have been so many great second change romances, from Big Tag and Charlie, Theo and Erin, and Eve and Alex. Each of them have had their own heart wrenching reunions. And while this story is not that, it is an amazing story of two people overcoming their pasts and letting go of pain to be together.

Drake and Taylor just seem to fit perfectly together. And I loved how Drake realized he made a mistake and tried everything to get Taylor to trust him again. There’s lots of action and espionage in the story. We get to see Drake’s family dynamic and just how obsessive and crazy Julia is. And as usual it was amazing to catch up with a lot of our old favorites. Watching Grace’s reunion with Kyle was fun and watching Ian have a fatherly moment with Drake was heart warming.

This book and everything I needed, A lot of laughs, a couple tears and a amazing adventure that kept me engaged for the entire book. Now I have to wait for a Kyle and MayBe’s story. It might be a while but I have no doubt it will be worth it. Thank you Lexi Blake for the best book I have read all year.

And of course it wouldn’t M&M with out Ryan West. The voice in my head and ears when I think of the amazing series. He is my favorite male narrator and in my top 3. Simply Amazing!!

Fantastic.

Love every word. The Taggert’s are the best. Lexi Blake does it again. Excellent plot and lots of wit.

Drake’s story!!

I was so glad to finally get to read about Drake and his story! Seeing him pop up in multiple storylines over the books made him super intriguing! You won’t be disappointed with this one! Plus Lexi loves to give you little nuggets of future books on the horizon!! I see a bright and of course, somewhat complicated future!!

Another winner

This is another great segment of the Taggart M&M saga. Getting a glimpse of Drake over the years sets this story up well. Drake and Taylor must find trust in a world of lies and deceptions. And love. And laughter. In typical Lexi Blake fashion, at times you’re laughing and at others your worrying and holding your breath. Or enjoying some sexy times. It’s all wonderful. Getting the next peak into the future - near term with Kyle and further with the twins- just has me wanting more.

Such a great addition to the series and sets up the next set of books very well in the epilogue. Can’t wait to read MaeBe and Kyle’s story next.

Awesome book

Another fabulous instalment in the wonderful world of Big Tag and his band of cohorts. Full of drama, humour and insanity. I can’t stop once I start a Lexi Blake book. Wonderful narration too

Not as good as the others in the series

This story started well and the scene at the safe house was perfectly written.
It was lovely to catch up with some of the lost boys and other characters from previous books in the series.
However, I felt the story progressed badly. Drake and Taylor’s story didn’t have a “real” feel to it and had gaps. The entire shooting scene at the end that revealed previously hidden characters was a complete shambles and totally unrealistic

I love Lexi’s books!

I have loved every book from Lexi, this one was no exception, they’re just perfect!
I would seriously start from the beginning (if for some strange reason you haven’t!) of the MT world as a lot of the other characters are included in Lexi’s books, even this book you had Sean & Grace right from the start and her son who is now all grown up! and of course some Ian Taggart too 😂, you really feel like you know the family, plus you may want to read the Bliss series too as again you get snippets of what is happening over there too!

I really don’t know how Lexi writes these books, they’re amazing!

And Ryan West is just the perfect narrator, it wouldn’t be the same without him narrating them
