Publisher's Summary

Indy will do anything to prevent his mobster ex from finding him. Their last encounter left Indy recovering for months in the hospital, and, ever since, he's become an expert at hiding in plain sight.

Determined to stay under the radar, he takes on a new identity and moves from place to place. His life has no room for friendships, let alone love, so he keeps his heart firmly closed. After all, he has nothing to offer but a damaged body and a broken soul. Plus, he's so done with men. Until he meets the man who breaks through all his defenses.

Former Army Medic Noah came back damaged from his last tour in more than one way. Between supporting his best friend-with-benefits Josh who's struggling with PTSD, dealing with his own issues, and the stress of his job as a physician assistant, rebuilding his life seems impossible. There's little time for what Noah needs, let alone for what he wants. When he meets Indy, Noah discovers what he wants more than anything: for Indy to stay. But how will a relationship with Indy work when Noah needs Josh as well?

Indy never expected the strong, confident Noah to be as damaged and broken as himself. But what will happen if he starts letting Noah in? Indy knows he should run to protect Noah and Josh. Noah needs Indy to stay more than anything. But will what little he has to offer be enough to make Indy trust him and stay?

No Filter is a steamy M/M romance featuring an open relationship (no cheating!) that ends with a HFN but with the promise of a HEA. It's the first audiobook in the No Shame Series, and is not a stand-alone novel. It contains hot sex, a hint of a menage, lots of talk about hot sex, flashbacks of said hot sex, and...Oh well, you get the idea. Also: trigger warning for mentions of sexual abuse.

Loved it.

I already knew I loved the story from reading the kindle edition, and I loved hearing the characters come to life. Kenneth Obi does an excellent job of conveying emotions and differentiating between voices for the characters.

Amazing series

This series is the best. And even better on audio. Kenneth Obi has done an amazing job making these people come life.
If you are only listening to one book this year, this is the one you need.
Love this series.

Wonderful Dark and Intriguing Story

I'm so impressed. I had heard this author is amazing, and that's no lie. The vast scope of the story, the complex characters, the dirty and raunchy sex scenes... everything was just beautifully done.

This is a continuing story, so not a cliff hanger, but the plot grows and develops with the next book and I can't wait to start it.

Even better, one of my new favorite narrators, Kenneth Obi, does this series. I fell in love with him when I listened to M.A. Innes' Strength series - he infuses all his characters with so much emotion, it's always a pleasure to listen to him read me a story. His Bostonian accent will make some of us from the North East chuckle, but Indy is such an adorable character that it fits.

I love a dark story so I'm good with everything that goes down in No Filter, but if I was writing this review for the blog, my list of tags and CW's would be mighty long *wink*.

Highly recommend, and if you're a fans of audiobooks this one is a huge win!

Good but tough storyline

I enjoyed the characters, Josh, Indy, Noah. The background stores of rape and violence were tough to listen too. Even though I loved the interaction of the characters, it was hard to get beyond all the violence.

Nora Phoenix combined with Kenneth Obi = Fireworks

Two dynamic talents joined together to delight my ears. I loved reading the book but Kenneth Obi just really brought all those characters to life. Trying to come up with different voices and include accents can be so hard, but Kenneth Obi makes it seem just so easy! His voice is a delight to listen to and really brought the steam level of this already hot book off the charts. Kudos to both the author and the narrator. Definitely worth a listen or two!

Wow :)

I read this series and loved it but getting to listen to it made the characters seem more real. Nora Phoenix did a great job writing it and with Kenneth Obi narrating it just made it truly amazing. Thank you both :)

A great listen

I was not sure how they dynamics of the relationships would work out, I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved how they all became family to each other and supported one another with no judgement. I wanted more and purchased the second audio book as soon as I finished this one.

Hot tamale!

A really enjoyable book, stuffed full of hot action. We’ve got three emotionally and physically damaged men, just trying to get through each day as it comes.
Kenneth Obi has quickly become one of my go to voice talents. It was really different hearing him with the different dialects and even genders. I love that he has such a wide skill range. He really draws you into the story. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the “southern lady” voice I realize that someone with such a deep voice would find that very hard to achieve. Plus, he was narrating a man pretending to be a woman, so it really was spot on.
Overall, I’ve found a new series to read!

5 stars

This is one of my all-time favorite series! I love the complexity between all the relationships and friendships between all the couples. So I was really excited when I saw an audiobook would be released for it.

Listening to the story just brought a whole nee level to the story and characters. Kenneth Obi brings so much emotion and depth to Indy and Noah.

Book 3 is my favorite of the series, so whenever that gets released, I will be the first one to buy it!

Great story- sweet and spicy

Enjoyed the characters and getting to know each one. Great chemistry between Noah, Josh and Indy. Indy’s accent was irritating though and a bit distracting. Still loved the story.

Nice story with a HFN ending

This is the first time I have listened audio prior to reading the book, I really enjoyed it and followed the story easily.

Kenneth did a really good job of choosing the voices for the characters, including the two voices for indi. It was clear who was speaking so easy to follow,

When I read the blurb for this story I was confused as to whether it was a mm or mmm, the relationship between indi, josh and Noah is amazing and I am so happy about how it ended for now... and off to read book 2 as I need to know what happens next.

This was a really nice story although had some hard to hear elements, possible trigger for sexual abuse, glad the author didn’t go into detail. The sex scenes were good and relevant. Kenneth voice kept me engaged in the story and I really enjoyed it.

Will definitely get the next book in audio.
