Enjoyable
I really liked the narration by MBB despite others who did not like it for whatever reason. It's a sweet love story and I really enjoyed listening to the entire book. I thought it was slightly predictable, but, nonetheless, worth the read.

In My Top 10
I had no expectations when I began this book. I knew MBB wrote a historical fiction based on her family's experience using the expertise of a ghost writer.
I absolutely loved it. MBB's voice gave depth, we heard the intended tone behind her story, and it blew me away.
A beautiful love story and a heartfelt tribute.
I am finding it difficult to convey how this book grabbed my heart, it was just lovely.

Takes a bit to get going
The story takes a little bit before it really takes off. Millie Bobby Brown does a good job narrating. If it weren’t a family story, it would be just a bit sappy, but it’s profound knowing it’s true.

My kids and I loved this book!!
I love historical fiction books and ADORE MBB! So this book was one I really was looking forward to because two of my favorite things were coming together! I knew very little about what this book was about when I started it, merely that it was based off of her family history, had a ghost writer, and the timeline was during WW11. I really enjoyed having the story unwrap itself revealing truths from history that have been forgotten. My teenage son and tween daughter listened with me and also were captivated! We all smiled, cried, giggled, and gasped through this amazing story!

I hope MBB writes more books
I loved this book- even though it was a little slow in the beginning- however, there was great character development, emotion, laughter, and some tears. After I got into it, I didn’t want to stop listening. I’m sad the story is over, but now reading about the Bethnel Green Tube Disaster. Definitely a great read. Would love to read more from MBB.

Billy's choice to let Nellie go, was a fair sacrifice to her. Glad she got to travel with Ray and have a family. beautiful story
