Publisher's Summary

One gargoyle who guards the secrets. One sexy librarian keeping secrets. One exciting yet dangerous adventure in the Egyptian sands.

Nikolas Stone might not have the most exciting job in the Stone Society, but it is one of the most important. As archivist, he is the keeper of all things gargoyle. When Nik uncovers the truth about gargoyles being able to mate with humans, he not only saves his species, he also stumbles upon his own mate. Sophia Brooks is the cute librarian who helped Nik gather his research about the gargoyle who first mated with humans. When Nik goes back to the library to see Sophia, she has left him a note and disappeared.

Sophia Brooks waited three years for Nikolas Stone to figure out who she is. Just when a life with her mate is finally within her grasp, her parents have been kidnapped. Sophia races off to Egypt to find them, praying that the secrets in those ancient tombs will lead her to her family. If only she wasn't leaving behind her dream of being with the hot gargoyle.

Nik has a different plan. His mate will not be alone in this, or anything else, ever again. Nik travels to Egypt to locate Sophia and her missing parents. What happens next is a mix of action, adventure, a crazy camel, comedy, and of course, hot sex.

Exciting and Suspenseful!

This was an exciting and suspenseful story with plenty of action to keep me interested from beginning to end. Although it was the fifth book in the series there was enough background information to help along with understanding the storyline. Though reading or listening to the previous books would certainly fill in a lot more blanks. I really liked the two main characters, Sophia and Nikolas as well as all the other characters in the book. It was a very entertaining book and the narrator did an amazing job with all the different voices and emotions throughout the story. I would definitely listen to this book again and would love to hear about what happens with some of the other characters. I did receive a free copy of this audiobook and am providing an unbiased review.

A Great Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author and found it very entertaining. Gargoyle are so interesting and stories involving them have so much potential. This book lives up to it. Nikolas has misplaced Sophia, she's not at the library where she should be...He discovers she's in Egypt looking for her parents and he's determined to help and the adventure begins. This tale of betrayal, intrigue and survival is filled with unique and well developed characters and provides suspense, action, humour and romance in this very enjoyable novel. Looking forward to the next one.

Suspenseful!

This is the fifth book in the Stone Society, a paranormal romance, with Gargoyle shapeshifters. Nikolas ans Sophia's story is intriguing and fast-paced. They both are great characters. The storyline is filled with mystery, suspense, and intrigue. The secondary characters are also great. Gideon Welles did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Brilliant!

Nikolas is a brilliantly written paranormal romance packed with suspense, adventure, drama, and humor. Faith Hunter is a superb author with an incredible imagination. I was entirely engrossed by the excellent plot and the engaging characters, especially Sophia and Nicolas. I wholly enjoyed their story and would listen to it again.

Gideon Welles's performance was flawless and very enjoyable. In addition to his pleasing voice, he is super talented and can alter his tone best suited to characters and situations.

Overall, Nikolas is an excellent addition to the Stone Society series, and I highly recommend it. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Fantastic book

This was the first book i have read in this series so i know i have missed a lot but i enjoyed all the same. The story line was easy to follow and i loved all the characters. Of there seemed to be a lot of secrets being kept . This book has a little Black Dagger Brotherhood and the Dragon Fury series vibe to it. Again, i say it was a very entertaining, full of action and romance book. I look forward to getting more in this series.

The narrator did a fantastic job with the voices. Gideon Welles is fantastic.

book 5 - Nikolas and Sophia

This is my first read / listen of the Stone Society and while I realize this is book 5 and I probably could have used some back story from the previous books in this series I still enjoyed this suspenseful romance read and think it can definitely be read / listened to as a stand alone.
I also want to mention how much I enjoyed the narrator on this one. Oh my how his voice goes deep when appropriate in the text just makes me sit up and take notice!
The storyline again can be read / listened to as a stand alone and I felt it had a good flow and was well written. Plenty of suspense and romance to make any reader happy. I loved the characters especially Sophia and her determination and Nikolas' protective nature. I can't wait to read more on this Stone Society and the characters found with in!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided voluntary review.

Exciting adventure with a dreamy narration........

Nikolas is the fifth book in the series, and I was very happy that I had listened to the first book in the series before starting this one. Rafael, the first book, concentrated heavily on world building, so I had all the background necessary to follow the story without reading books two, three and four. Nikolas takes place in the same post-apocalyptic near future and features a race of Gargoyle shifters and half-shifters. This books focuses less on the paranormal aspects of the series and much more on the action/adventure taking place with the two main characters, Niklas Stone, a full shifter, and Sophia Brooks, a half-shifter. Just as Nikolas is realizing that Sophia is his true mate, she disappears to Egypt in search of her kidnapped parents. This begins a fun and exciting adventure as Sophia and Nikolas get into all kinds of crazy and funny situations in their quest to find her parents. The romance is passionate with a high heat level, but, as with most books of the fated mate theme, Nikolas and Sophia just know they are meant to be together. This eliminates all the potential drama and angst as a couple gets to know each other, leaving plenty of time for the action and humor prevalent in this story. I highly recommend to all lovers of a great paranormal romance.

The narration by Gideon Welles is absolutely dreamy. He has a deep, raspy voice that is sexy and addictive. It is a pleasure just to listen to his voice reading anything, but he is perfect for the romance/erotica genre. Even with his deep baritone delivery, he performs the female roles with great skill, and I never had any difficulty following the story or which character was speaking.

Better. More cohesive than the first book

The series story is actually very good. I reviewed book one and had a hard time with it having too many pieces. I haven’t listened to books 2-4 but Nikolas, book 5, stays on point so much better. I met Nikolas in book one (as well as every other character, I assume). He’s the Gargoyle’s archivist and he met his mate in book one. He wasn’t sure of it then but he is now and just as he’s ready to connect his life to hers, she vanishes. Apparently her parents had been kidnapped and she takes off to Egypt to rescue them. Alone.
I have listened to a lot of Gideon Welles narratives and he never disappoints. Very well done.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. My review is HONEST.
👏🏻 Applause for the improvement and a Big 👍🏻 Thumbs Up!

No Stone unturned.

I listened to part of this story on Audible, and read part. It is an action adventure romance. I loved the characters. They have a down to earth feel with a supernatural flare. This adventure took place in Egypt. Sand, and wilful camels are a bit of comedy relief.

I have not read the other books in this series, but am anxious to read them now. These characters are easy to become addicted to reading about. Overall, I really enjoyed this story!
