It would serve mankind well to let the bears have their territory. I do not think that the bears should have been killed. When we were stationed at Eielson AFB, Alaska we had to attend a class about all of the dangers in Alaska.

Jack Olsen did a great job of writing this story.

Interesting

Loved this book- well researched and detailed. Did not appreciate how 99% of the women were depicted as tearful and hysterical, while most of the men were brave and calm, but that may be related to the bias of time it was written.

Gripping

A good story once again showing the stupidity of humans. It’s sad about the grizzlies that got killed due to people being uneducated about wildlife.

Great level of detail and suspense building for a tragedy that’s hard to fathom living through.
