When a body is discovered in a locked toilet cubicle on the late-night train to Bath, Ishmael Jones is faced with his most puzzling case to date.

When Ishmael Jones and his partner, Penny, are asked to escort a VIP on the late-night train to Bath, it would appear to be a routine case. The Organisation has acquired intelligence that an attempt is to be made on Sir Dennis Gregson’s life as he travels to Bath to take up his new position as Head of the British Psychic Weapons Division. Ishmael’s mission is to ensure that Sir Dennis arrives safely.

How could anyone orchestrate a murder in a crowded railway carriage without being noticed and with no obvious means of escape? When a body is discovered in a locked toilet cubicle, Ishmael Jones has just 56 minutes to solve a seemingly impossible crime before the train reaches its destination.

I love this series the story is always good and the narrator is absolutely phenomenal

awesome

On top of the severely obvious killer, the plot was almost entirely useless to the series as a whole. aside from a little world building at the start, and the last few minutes, you could skip the entire book and not have it throw any problems in the meta plot. Hell, that last bit wasn't even shocking or astonishing either, since it's something I'd been suspecting since book one, and will likely be brought up at the very start of the next. This entry was just plain boring as well. The narration was the only thing worthwhile about this entry in an already lower than average series. I think at this point I'm only still listening to this series because it was free.

Worst so far.

It was obvious from the start and so plodded along. I love the other books and Mr. Jackson's voice is wonderful to listen to.

This is a low point in the series.

Not as subtle as other books in this series. Culprit is a little too obvious. A little disappointed in this one.

Too obvious
