Publisher's summary

New person. New case. Lots of problems. I made the decision to stay. That’s something I have to remind myself when the producers request that a new girl is added to the team. I have to remind myself a lot when the decision is made on what seems like perfection. And that perfection is causing a rift between the group. Ian hates that I don’t like her. Shane is stuck in the middle of argument after argument. And the new girl? Well, she’s determined to remind me that I’m not fit to be apart of the team. Plus, a case that is more than we bargained for? That darkness is coming for me, and I’m not ready.

Awesome book

I really enjoyed this book. Blair's ghost hunting team was down a man so Ian and Shane decided they needed another team member that was both a good idea and a horrific idea. Blair and the new member butted heads almost immediately. I loved the growing animosity between Blair and the new narcissistic team member. The book is well written with a lesson to be learned.

Immersive

When the idea for a new team member to add to their ghost hunting team is pitched, Blair isn’t happy. The new girl is self-absorbed and not afraid to get into a fight. That’s the last thing that Blair needs. Their new case is tough, possibly even dangerous.

Short story, but easy to find yourself immersed in. The characters are all well fleshed out, and the storyline is believable. There’s plenty of drama and suspense to keep you on your toes.

Narration fit the story well.

Horrible narrator ruins the read

This narrator has no reading rhythm. No emotion relative to the words she's reading, robotic and just saying words with no.....consideration to the material. Horrid, I couldn't even get halfway thru the book....
