Publisher's Summary

The new story in the phenomenal Midnight, Texas series from number-one New York Times best-selling author Charlaine Harris.

At Midnight's local pawnshop, weapons are flying off the shelves - only to be used in sudden and dramatic suicides right at the main crossroads in town. Who better to figure out why blood is being spilled than the vampire Lemuel, who, while translating mysterious texts, discovers what makes Midnight the town it is? There's a reason why witches and werewolves, killers and psychics, have been drawn to this place. And now they must come together to stop the bloodshed in the heart of Midnight. For if all hell breaks loose - which just might happen - it will put the secretive town on the map, where no one wants it to be....

Midnight Texas series

I'm so glad I decided to listen to the last 2 books in the series. Susan Bennett does such an amazing job with all the voices. My absolute favorite is Mr. snuggly the cat. I laugh every time he speaks.

Surprisingly funny

One of my favorite things about Charlene Harris's books is that they tend to be funny when you don't expect it. And though I felt for Fiji's dilemma I could not help but crack up at its description and her reactions.

Amazing full circle

Some of the details got a little overdone but in general everyone story really came full circle the climax of the west fantastic. There was so much more action on this one and so much more going on which made it fantastic. This third book in the series is not something that disappoints at all this go around. Lots of little other stories made it fantastic. The TV show midnight Texas is the air May 2017 and I hope it will do some of the story justice. I can already see from the commercials that they will not be portraying Fiji accurately at all but I'm excited for it anyway.

Wonderful

Not only are the words brilliant but the voice of the reader is as brilliant and entertaining. She captured each characters personality and sense of humor. So memorable. Fantastic in every way. I love the stories about this enchanting town and its one of a kind characters. I hate to see the series end. A trilogy is not enough. Ms. Feehan's writing captures you completely. What a great world builder.

Laughs and Magic

I've listened to all three of the Midnight Texas books now and this, by far, is my favorite. Charlaine Harris has a wonderful sense of humor and Susan Bennett does a fantastic job in translating this for your audio pleasure.

Without saying too much, Night Shift again focuses on the little town of Midnight and its eclectic and diverse residents. The town is again threatened. As dead bodies begin to pile up, will the residents, both magical and not, survive?

My favorite character, Mr Snuggly the Cat, has more of a presence and I cannot get enough of hearing from him.

If you haven't read or listened to the two previous books, get in it! If you haven't read any of her other series, get on it as well. Fantastic work.

An action-packed sequel!

Not a dull moment in the whole book. Susan Bennett's narrating was great, especially her portrayal of Mr. Snuggly! You have to pay attention so you don't miss anything, but that's no hardship. Loving this series!

tedious at times

I enjoy most of Charlaine Harris works. i was disappointed with this book. I enjoyed the basic story. The reader was good. I had trouble because story got long and tedious too many times. Example sister of a main character comes into the story. I expected her to have a role in story. Sister is presented as a shallow, manipulative person. Then she is written out of story. She is told to leave, she does. So why was she even in the story? Those words could have been better used to explain other characters who do contribute to the storyline. I found my mind wandering then something would happen. I would have to go back to find what I missed. In several instances I didn't really miss anything. The listener is assumed to have read or listened to other books in series. Which I didn't do. Based on my disappointment with this one that won't be happening anytime soon.

The Town Fights Evil

This is a great series. More mysteries come to the surface. Figi uses her skills more. More psyic stuff and more with her great cat. Hope Audible gets more audiobooks in this series.
