Together, Nancy and Samantha represent two generations: Nancy, a boomer, was a key player in the megachurch movement that revolutionized global ministry during the '80s and '90s, while Samantha, a millennial, is willing to abandon those massive buildings and celebrity cultures and find out whether the foundation holds. The authors do an excellent job of keying in on aspects of local churches and not losing sight of what the Church is and should be. Using personal examples and stories of others they flesh out the concepts in helpful ways.

Frank, Refreshing, Insightful

The church needs more honest, intergenerational conversations like this one. As a jaded millennial who loves Jesus, yet has a love/hate relationship with church and church culture, it was really refreshing to hear the openness with which this mother and daughter discuss the past, present, and future of the church.
