I made spaghetti for my hot arch nemesis, kissed him, then somehow ended up mated to him.
Planned?
No.
Desired?
Also no.
Unless we're talking about physically, because—whew—there is some serious heat between us in more ways than one.
I never wanted to be in a relationship again, but he's not walking away.
And the more time I spend with him, the less I want him to leave.
We're going from enemies to friends with benefits faster than I realized was possible… and I have to fight like hell not to let us go any further.
Never Feed a Dragon is a fun, steamy, standalone romance with a happily ever after.

I do like that he doesnt give up and tries his hardest not to push himself too much on her, he gives her the space (sleeping on the floor at her door, staying awake to protect her in other instances, not making the first move until she indicates, etc.) and I will say she drove me nuts sometimes! I think Eli was my favorite brother and I would pick him out of the bunch so far, but I didnt connect with Viola as much as I would have wanted. I think I liked book 1's FMC the best out of this trilogy (still the demon series was stronger for me than this one).
I did like the continuation of the dragon and mate requirements (about flying) and I did get emotional when Vi opened up about maybe this could be how she sees her sister again/is at Mate Mountain, so that tugged on my emotions nicely haha. Narrators did a good job with that vulnerable moment. I will say the narrators were solid. Again not my favorites but gave a good showing for these characters (again I loved Eli but Vi seemed less multi-dimensional as the other FMCs). I did like the cooking part and her getting to try all her new creations and feed the dragons who wouldn't turn down some amazingly made food haha.
I did think of this story stalled a little, which is why I kept it at 4 instead of going higher. Again I did like it but this series didn't pack a punch like the others. This was the funniest of the 3 though, I liked Eli's antics even if Vi didnt haha. Also wish there was more info given about the state of the dragons and the hierarchy and the inner workings. It was a huge deal in book 1 and then when the leader gets a mate in book 2 it snuffs out, and then it's not even a thing in book 3. I like PNR stories because you get some of the world building that is more intricate than contemporary stories but that was a big lack here in this series (unlike the demon trilogy).
Will be checking out more by this author, got some of her books in a book box so I put them aside to read while on vacation this Winter. We'll see how it goes!!
Loved Eli!
