Years after leaving Haven, Montana, she knows it's time to confront her past and make amends for the lies and destruction she caused. However, the thought of returning to her hometown brings back painful memories and the fear of falling back into her old ways.

As she drives back into town, she catches the attention of Dale, a former law enforcement officer who arrested her numerous times in the past. He's determined to keep an eye on her, knowing that trouble always seems to follow her. But as he watches her, he realizes that she's not the same person he once knew. And when danger looms, he finds himself drawn to her in unexpected ways.
