Story
Miss Mildred Percy is a spinster. She does not dance, she has long stopped dreaming, and she certainly does not have adventures. That is, until her great uncle has the audacity to leave her an inheritance, one that includes a dragon’s egg. The egg—as eggs are wont to do—decides to hatch, and Miss Mildred Percy is suddenly thrust out of the role of “spinster and general wallflower” and into the unprecedented position of “spinster and keeper of dragons.” But England has not seen a dragon since…well, ever.

Story
Austen wrote, 'I am going to take a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like' and thus introduces the handsome, clever, rich - and flawed, Emma Woodhouse. Emma is perfectly content with her life and sees no need for either love or marriage; nothing however delights her more than matchmaking her fellow residents of Highbury. But when she ignores the warnings of her good friend Mr. Knightley and attempts to arrange a suitable match for her protegee Harriet Smith, her carefully laid plans soon unravel and have consequences that she never expected.

Elizabeth Bennet dreads encountering Mr. Darcy when she visits Pemberley, for surely, after she spurned his offer of marriage, he must despise her. Yet they do meet, and to her astonishment, he holds no resentment towards her. Regrettably, someone else does. Unbeknownst to Elizabeth, her reintroduction to the master of Pemberley is far from universally welcomed. There are others for whom prejudice is stirred up by the familiarity between Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy.

What if Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy spoke honestly to each other in Kent and clarified any misconceptions prior to his making his proposal? What would happen if Mr. Bennet made an ill-fated attempt to resolve the issue of the entail only to create a much bigger problem for his family and Mrs. Bennet were even more of a shrew than in canon? What if Mr. Bennet had a secret reason to encourage the couple to marry quickly and before returning home? Will they ever be able to overcome the resentment that results from Mr. Bennet's manipulations or from Mrs. Bennet's subsequent behaviors?

The first book in his highly anticipated Riyria Chronicles series of prequels, The Crown Tower brings together warrior Hadrian Blackwater with thieving assassin Royce Melborn. Publisher's summary
Elizabeth Bennet thought she was prepared to do anything to make the Dragon Conclave accept her beloved young dragon, Pemberley, into the Blue Order, but she had not anticipated it would leave her banished from her ancestral home and betrothed to none other than Mr. Darcy. But before Elizabeth and Darcy wed, they must find a dangerous rogue dragon before it provokes a war amongst the dragons and brings the fragile peace between dragons and mankind to a catastrophic end.
Nothing written in the annals of dragon lore has prepared Elizabeth to manage a dragon not governed by the Blue Order. Dragons have always loved her, but this one finds her arrogant, selfish, and insensitive to others. With only her instincts to guide her, she must convince the rogue of her good intentions before the Blue Order loses patience and decides on more drastic measures.
Called away to the other side of the kingdom, trying to settle the dragons' unrest, Darcy learns the nature of the force poisoning the rogue dragon against Elizabeth. One nearer and dearer than they could have imagined.
Can Elizabeth and Darcy convince with rogue dragon to cooperate before darker forces turn it against them, without destroying the fragile bonds uniting the couple?

Before he can show them to Nicholas Brisbane, the private inquiry agent he has retained for his protection, Sir Edward collapses and dies at his London home, in the presence of his wife, Julia, and a roomful of dinner guests.

Amazing
WOW! This was so good! I loved this story so much. This series has been such a fun and interesting spin on P&P with dragons and such an amazing world. These characters feel so real and make me feel for them. I loved Elizabeth's search for the rogue dragon and Mr. Darcy's search for Lydia. There was a lot of fun action in this book. I hope there are more books in this world since this was the end of this trilogy but I don't want to say goodbye to these characters or this world. I have loved every moment of getting to listen to this. This is a fun series that I wanted more of.

Unique, clever melding
This is the fourth book I have read/listened to by this author and of this series. I’ve enjoyed each one. The melding of Austen’s characters and storyline with the dragon storyline is well done. This, like several other of the books, does not try to follow Austen’s story and merely add in a few words about dragons. The base concept and plot is there, but the alterations and additions the author has made make this a very unique tale.
This is the sixth book I have listened to by this narrator ( Benjamin Fife ). He does well with the accents and female voices. He brings the interactions of the characters to life with the British flair of the time.
The high chipmunk-style voice is interesting to try to understand since I speed up the audio for listening. I’d prefer to listen at 1.6x but can only do 1.4 since the voice is already speed up. But, that’s my choice.
There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

Very satisfying conclusion.
This was a very enjoyable Pride And Prejudice variation. But it was a fantastic fantasy about Dragons. Darcy and Elizabeth are much the same as in the original with similar misunderstandings and a sweet romance. Richard is much more the veteran soldier here and he has a grim mission from the Blue Order. Mr. Bennett’s laziness has very serious consequences. Darcy is more steadfast in his feelings. Elizabeth’s intelligence and ingenuity shines brightly. Her interactions with all the different dragons drives the story. The Blue order and the Concords are explained in greater detail. There’s lots of action, danger and intrigue in this finale.
Benjamin Fife’s narration has gotten better and better with each book. How he can voice the high fast trills of the fairy dragons and the low and slow bass of the greater dragons is uncanny. Plus all the humans and other dragonkind. In this book he also has the accents of 2 foreign dragons. Mr. Fife handles the action and tender moments equally well without getting overly dramatic in either situation.
I purchased all the kindle books in this series and the first 2 audiobooks but came across a promotion on this final book. I received this book at my request for an honest review. This series should be read in order. It isn’t just for fans of P&P variations. If you like fantasy or dragon books with a detailed and well thought out society you’ll love this series.

A DECISIVE ENDING FOR DARCY AND ELIZABETH
I received this audio book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review
This is book three in the Jane Austen’s Dragons series. Elizabeth is betrothed to Darcy and in search of the rogue dragon on her sister, Jane’s, property, Netherfield. She has a fight with Darcy and is kidnapped by Netherfield. Meeting the dragon, she realizes that he is a pacifist.
The interactions between human and dragon society is enchanting. I love the way cooler heads and domination in a peaceful form prevail to prevent death and destruction. Longbourn’s love for Elizabeth made me feel empathy for the overbearing dragon.
The narration was spectacular and the various voices done by the narrator were superb!

It’s complicated...
I am totally enamored with this series of books. Trouble abounds in this book including a rogue dragon wreaking havoc in the area.
Maria Grace’s world building is fantastic. I love the addition of the new dragon characters and learning more about the Blue Order.
Benjamin Fife is a top notch narrator. I have enjoyed each and every one of his performances.

Fantastic conclusion!
This is book 3 in the series of Jane Austen’s Dragons and continues the variation of Pride and Prejudice. Darcy and Fitzwilliam are in pursuit of Lydia and Wickham while Elizabeth is off to Netherfield to try and bring the rogue dragon there into the Blue Order. But of course life with dragons is never simple. All the characters are well written- human and dragon alike. Absolutely love this series!

A masterful conclusion to a brilliant series
Picking up right where the last book left off, this one takes us on another journey of comedy, romance, and mystery.
In nearly all ways, this book is far superior to the first two.
As I've come to expect, Benjamin Fife gives a phenomenal performance complete with unique, believable voices (even the female ones!) and masterful control of vocal inflections and tempo variations.
This story builds once again on the already fantastic character development, while bringing in yet more new characters that are just as wonderfully drawn.
There is still more development of the dragons, including more new species, which I love. In a lot of ways, the whole world of Dragons in these books in strongly reminiscent of Marie Brennan's Memoirs of Lady Trent series.
I would have enjoyed more development into the Blue Order and just what it is about Elizabeth that makes her so special though.
Although I still feel the development of the emotional bond between Elizabeth and Mr Darcy has been a bit overly sudden, overall the progression of their relationship has been a lot of fun to read.
It was interesting to realize that the Pendragon Accord is limited to only Britain. In this one we meet more than one foreign dragon, and seeing the interactions between them and the local dragons and members of the Blue Order was very interesting.
There are more than a few surprises that come throughout this book, and some really interesting reveals. A few I saw coming, but others I did not, which was really satisfying to read.
Overall the flow of the story is excellent, and the ending comes together brilliantly. It was awesome to finally see an ending, and this one does an excellent job of tying all the various threads together.
I sincerely hope the author does more with this world!

FANTASTIC
After the first and second books l found l wanted to know more about all these wonderful dragons so l read book four which is an introduction to dragons. Boy did that help, it should be book one. I am in love with this addictive series and recommend them. I am fascinated with the dragon court system and l love Elizabeth writing her Modern Dragons book. The narrator does an amazing job, he is one of the top five l have ever listened too. Recommended.
