Story
Health and wellness campaigns preach avoidance of unhealthy foods, sedentary lifestyles, tobacco, drugs, and alcohol, but rarely preach avoidance of unhealthy, difficult, or toxic people. Yet the health benefits of removing toxic people from your life may have far greater benefits to both physical and psychological health. We need to learn to be better gatekeepers for our minds, bodies, and souls. Narcissism, entitlement, and incivility have become the new world order, and we are all in trouble. They are not only normalized but also increasingly incentivized.

Although clinical research has been conducted on narcissism as a disorder, less is known about its effects on victims who are in toxic relationships with partners with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Individuals with this disorder engage in chronic devaluation and manipulation of their partners, a psychological and emotional phenomenon known as "narcissistic abuse". Unfortunately, the full extent of what narcissistic abuse entails is not taught in any psychology class or diagnostic manual.

Story
Narcissism is an overwhelming and confusing topic. By nature, it's designed to keep you trapped in shame-based vertigo. It doesn’t just go away because you know it exists. Narcissism creates a set of beliefs, behaviors, and paradigms in its target which must be changed from the inside. Using an inside-out approach, How to Kill a Narcissist presents seven practices for recovery and healing, each designed to instill you with independence, strength, emotional resilience, and awareness, while allowing you to cultivate balanced, loving relationships and pursue a life of passion.

Still struggling from the effects of an abusive relationship? Many people do, and sadly, there is very little information available to be found online, in the written research, or with counsellors and therapists that can help. The "gaslight effect" is not officially recognized, nor is it widely even known. Even when it is accepted, recognized, and known, not many people seem to know what to do about it to heal it.

Story
Do you feel you're not the individual you used to be anymore? Do you feel all your lovely qualities have been stripped away? Are you struggling to see what's true and what's not? Chances are you have been associated with a narcissist for quite a while, living in a false reality. The casual tossing-around of the term "narcissist" has resulted in many individuals assuming wrongly that a narcissist is just someone who has an inflated sense of self-trust and, maybe, a mildly inflated ego as well.

Practical, empathetic, empowering, effective.
A bit harsh and at times feels like it’s repeating simple facts you may know but stick it out. It’s worth it and more importantly focused on you the victim and your needs. Not the abuser and “why they treated you this way”, “how can you help them”, etc. It directs the necessary attention and empathy but firmness that someone stuck in this cycle needs. Good luck.

You can't fix a Narcissist. Identify them & leave.
You learn alot about yourself by listening to this book.
When you identify the narcassists in your life do no attempt to fix them, or highlight what they do.
Just leave!!!
These people are charming and will always give you false hope. But the will always return to their way of being. Just like an elastic band can be stretched but when it's not, it returns to it's natural state.
Avoid these people. OR see them as victims, and just don't rise to them.

Story
Still struggling from the effects of an abusive relationship? Many people do, and sadly, there is very little information available to be found online, in the written research, or with counsellors and therapists that can help. The "gaslight effect" is not officially recognized, nor is it widely even known. Even when it is accepted, recognized, and known, not many people seem to know what to do about it to heal it.

Story
When you are constantly dealing with the changing stories, lies, and manipulation that comes with narcissistic abuse, it is easy to worry about your own mental health and fear that you are losing a grip on reality. If you are codependent, the situation is made even worse. The codependent loop relies on the fear that you are failing someone. Fear that you are not good enough. Fear that you won't be able either to abandon the person or to do your best in your relationship.
