A completely gripping and totally addictive psychological thriller

Can I really trust the man I married?

I take a sip of coffee as I plan my day. My surgeon husband, Cole, slept at work last night, so I had to get the kids ready on my own, again. I can’t complain, though, I’ve loved him ever since we met, long before he became a famous surgeon and the papers started calling him the pride of the hospital.

Our latest family photo hangs on the kitchen wall and I remember that day so clearly. Cole screamed at me over nothing, then apologised saying he was stressed at work. My heart pounded with fear, but I plastered a smile on my face for the sake of my children.

Now, as my phone buzzes on the glossy white kitchen island, I read the message from a withheld number, and nothing could have prepared me for what it says. Your husband is planning to kill you…

You might think you know what I do next, but you’ll be wrong, because Cole isn’t the most dangerous person in this family…

You will be utterly addicted to this gripping psychological thriller. Perfect or fans of The Housemaid, The Perfect Marriage and Gone Girl, prepare to be hooked!

I think I could have written a better ending. lol
But only the last chapter. lol

This was a good drag along. It gets to feeling quite personal, as in even if your not married with children, you can feel this one.

It feels slow but if your mind drifts off or someone interrupts you actually HAVE to go back or miss important details or sneaky nuances and your thrown off the trail.
This one require your attention, not unlike the proper Sherlock tale.

Not many keep me from knowing the end.... but this one did. Right to The End.

Well, didn't see that coming.

Sheryl Browne and Tamsin Kennard are perfection together (again!), and “My Loving Husband” is their latest knockout. Kennard’s narration is pitch-perfect – tension and nuance in every scene. Browne’s twists are nasty and expertly hidden. This psychological thriller grabbed me by the throat and never let go – lies, secrets, gaslighting and a precarious marriage. We meet Dr. Cole, “the pride of the hospital,” and his wife, juggling kids, doubt and a creeping sense of dread. When a cryptic and dangerous message warns that her husband is planning to leave her… I thought I knew the truth, but wait. The real danger might not be Cole. For those who, like me, crave toxic relationships that f*ck with your head, this one’s a must-listen. Highly recommended to the top and worthy of a credit, I lucked out during an awesome sale and bought this for an exciting $2.70. C’mon, Audible, can we have more of these “all books” sales? Epic, indeed!

Starts off at a good pace. The middle is a bit slow in sections. And the end is twisted as a pretzel. Very entertaining.

Twisty

1st love Tamsin always. I listened to the book because she was narrating. Now, it is almost rage inducing listening to how ignorant the thought process of the characters. She literally tells her husband to go no contact leave ya alone then a chapter later says I hope he calls or texts to explain WTAF?! anyway quit writing women stupid and weak ugh .

Why do we write women like this?

I liked at the end how the main character Maddie, who appeared to be a victim throughout the book, was shown to be no better than those who were victimizing her.

The ENDING!!!
