Sixty-eight seconds.

Can a life be lived in sixty-eight seconds? Can the love of a lifetime be discovered and lost in just a minute?

Mikah Bauer stepped into the street in front of the Glasgow Museum of Modern Art and found herself lost in a nightmare that became a dream come true when Ian Conagham, the Marquis of Ayr, appeared before her. Mikah found herself living another life, a fairy tale of love and passion such as she never imagined. Then came the nightmare that tore it all away as quickly as fate had handed it to her.

Contains mature themes.

While the story is a good "love out of time" tale that is historically well researched and well written, it is annoyingly interrupted by numerous clumsy breaks in and between words which i must assume are caused by careless editing! After the first several I began noting, with growing ire, these many many instances that break continuity.

Good Story - let down in editing!

I enjoyed this book more then I thought I would. I love the ending and thought this was a unique way to tell a time travel story. The characters are likable and the Kirsten Potter is one of my faves.

Sweet story

I read this book the first time in 2013, and I loved it then. I listened to it over the past couple of day and loved it again. I had forgotten that there were 2 people inside the same body, Mikah and Hero, not trying to see who the predominate one was but to live harmoniously until Mikah could figure out what was going on. How could Mikah know absolutely everything about Hero’s castle when she was from the 21st century and this was now 1856? Not to mention she’s met the man she’s been dreaming about most of her life.

Sometimes I mention in a review that it seemed everyone was naked because the author never gave her character clothes. In this book Ms. Fortin has described every bit of clothing and everything about every single room imaginable. It was a little much for me but I know a lot of you like all that description. There are pages and pages of it. It was annoying to me but not so much that it took away from the story. It’s simply information that might be helpful to those who love descriptions and a warning to those who don’t like so much of it.

I did like Mikah/Hero and Ian/Jace but I had forgotten about what happened at the end of part 2. I really, really hated that part. BUT it ended up being a perfect, perfect time travel novel. Yeah, I cried and it was worth every single tear.

Besides hating Daphne (and I certainly wasn’t surprised that she was one of the bad guys) I absolutely loved the Duke of Beaumont, Hero's father. With his touch of Alzheimer’s the author gave him the funniest and most loving lines in the book. His interruptions of Hero and Ian was just hilarious.

There was several love scenes, explicit love scenes. There were a few of the usual small swearwords and the F-bomb was dropped 5 times.

As to the narration: I love, love, love Kirsten Potter. She does everything right!

Awesome story by an awesome narrator..

I love listening to Kirsten Porter!!!
The story was sooo romantic !! I got lost in it!!! So much that it took me awhile to realize that Hero was taking over and lost the Micha( hope that is spelled right since I did not see the printed name) . There was romance, adventure, and interrupted sex scenes!! lol but the all good!! Just when you think it happy ever after and all danger is gone Bam another twist!!!
Loved this book and looking to listen to another one written by Angeline Fortin!!! Will not be disappointed!!!

A love for all time
