Publisher's summary

From the New York Times best-selling author who “hilariously depicts modern dating” (Us Weekly) comes a sexy romantic comedy about online dating and its many, many fails.

With a world-famous speaker at their university, Millie Morris and her four woefully single male colleagues make a pact that they’ll all find dates. Unfortunately, Millie has more success helping them make matches online than she does navigating the onslaught of lewd pics in her own feed. But when she creates a fictional name for a new account, Millie finds herself vying for the online attention of a man she sees every day in the flesh.

Thoughtful

These authors always seem to have that exact combo of sweet and sexy and I love it. I savor their books.

This is one of my favorite Tropes, friends to lovers. It really was eye-opening to see that you can be friends with someone but not really “know” them if they don’t want you to. Or if they can’t open up like you need them to. It was eye-opening if you think about your friends in your own life how true this can be.

I loved that Millie is like one of the guys and when they all choose to go on the dating app she really is the voice of reason. Only when it comes to herself she isn’t comfortable doing what she can for them for herself.

I loved the mystery ;) and how it all played out it was different and I liked that.

I am a huge fan of both narrators so I thoroughly enjoyed their performances.

LOVED!

I absolutely LOVED the way this book went back and forth. normally the books go back and forth through different timeframes and you have to keep up which I really dislike but this communication back and forth was wonderful one person picking up where the other left off brilliant! and once again I am a softie for romance and happy endings which I really believe this was. 10 stars did I say I loved this story well I did so thanks :)

My favorite half night stand

Millie and her four best guy friends set up online dating profiles after making a pact at a black tie gala. Millie uses her real name Catherine and gets dinged by Reid. Her best friend and one of the guys. She's always liked Reid but was to chicken to say anything. While they talk online Millie says certain things to show Reid it's her but to no luck they fly over his head. When Reid finds out will this break their friendship for good? Great read.

Very modem and realistic romance

I liked the two main characters, as well as the groupof friends. it was also nice to include group chats and messages in the text of the book. in a modern world, most communication is done with technology and that was relatable. I thought the plot unfolded well and that the characters reactions made sense.
and I just love Deacon Lee's narration.

So many of Christina Lauren’s other books have a better developed story

The story was realistic and ok but it was just about her insecurities. Not one of their best.

Delightful and funny chick lit

So much fun! And so funny. I laughed out loud several times. Was delightful on audio with different narrators for the Millie and Reid chapters. The readers both had slightly unusual voices but they totally worked for me, and they both did nice jobs with all the other character voices too. Definitely recommend if you like your Chick Lit with a nice dose of humor tossed in. Well worth the Audible credit.

Not as good as her others, but still great

I loved this duo’s Sweet Filthy Boy, Dirty Rowdy Thing, and other books in that series, as well as the Beautiful Bastard series. This book is really good, but not quite as steamy and just amazing as those books. But I still give it 4 stars, and recommend it. There’s hot chemistry between Reid and Millie, and it’s a great story. I loved their group of friends.

I read the book first

I loved the book so much, but I couldn't come around to the narration... I didn't like the narration of the other book either by her. personal preference..

Unfortunate vocal casting

Not a bad read, but nasal voices and lisps galore, it was a challenging and annoying listen.

Excellent Side Characters, questionable MC

I enjoyed the vast majority of this book and had a ball listening to the interactions between this dynamic group of goofballs. First, the narration. She was excellent with the male characters and Millie out loud, but the internal monologue nearly killed me. It was performed like an 80-year-old woman from the 1950’s. I repeat…it was awful. Ok…so Millie. I couldn’t connect. I empathized to an extent but, her decisions began to wear on me. The story is good, I truly enjoyed 75% of it, but Millie went too far.
