They have a different dynamic and relationship than some of the other characters in the book, so it was nice to get to watch their relationship evolve in this book. If you are a fan of the series, you should DEFINITELY get this book, you will be happy you did, I highly recommend it. I'm dying to read the next book in the series (Dark Warrior's Destiny)!! I hope the series continues for a while to come. :)"

Excellent story, I stumbled upon this series and now I can't seem to put them down!! Love the story and the characters and I've already finished all of the books!! Eeeek!! Can't wait for the next story and am looking forward to following all of the characters =) Thanks for your inventive imagination with creating a storyline that seems so real.
When Michael and Kri fight off a gang of humans, Michael gets stabbed. The injury to his immortal body recovers fast, but the one to his ego takes longer, putting a strain on his relationship with Kri.

Good story but not a fan of virtual voice

The virtual voice was distracting. While I like the story, the voice narration was difficult to listen to. Character names were mispronounced which was difficult to follow at times.

I Really Tried

I listened to the entire virtual audio book before writing this review. I do not like the virtual voice version because it is too plain, too on the "note". Virtual voice does not flex or produce any emotion from me except boredom.

Good story. Horrible Narration.

I usually like these stories. And this one was good on its own. But the narration completely ruined it for me. The AI pronunciation was way off.

Not a big fan of this AI reading

I’m glad that it was a short novelle story. Having this AI read it is an acquired taste that is yet to be desired. The story itself was great but having this AI read it just ruined. It kept saying a lot of the main characters names wrong. It just did not read it with the emotional context and narrative Expression that an actual person would provide. It reminded me of a professor who talks in a monotone voice during lecture.
