Cute Short Story !

I enjoyed this love at first sight short story for a quick, but enjoyable retelling of Beauty and the Beast. My problem is with the narration which is done by AI. It's a female voice with no difference between when it's reading the male's POV and the female POV. I've listened to many books narrated by a human female and she can slightly deepen her voice, so the difference can be heard. Unfortunately, with the computers reading the story it's not the same as listening to a human tell the story.

No character development

The fact that the make was a gargoyle was superfluous. He could have been human and it would not have made a difference.

Weird Story

The AI voice doesn’t help the story and probably makes it worse. This is the 3rd book I’ve listened to with AI voice & while it’s improved slightly it’s still not good. I doubt the story would have been better with human inflections though because it’s just not very good.
