Really Interesting

I never thought I would read a book like this. It was awesome that Emily was the narrator. I definitely enjoyed the read.

Profound & honest

Upon starting this book, I was uncertain about Emily. I wanted to read her book so I could understand her better. No judgement just an open mind. This book is profound. It’s honest. It’s authentic. Emily walks us through her pain, sharing her truths, & fears. I found myself understanding the mirage of attention seeking Emily & was graced with her humanity. Every woman should read this book.

Cheering for you, Emrata!

I enjoyed reading this book and found it thought provoking in ways I wasn’t anticipating. I’m only one year older than the author, and I find her mind very relatable. I disagree with the reviews that this is just a sad, pretty girl complaining. I’m sorry but, you’re skimming the surface. I think she’s intellectual and always educating herself and too deep a thinker for the LA model circuit. Plus she’s a great storyteller. Her story is equal parts owning her instrument and showing the price she’s paid for it. Emily further validates that there is a #metoo story in every woman, and I admire her and commend her for getting to tell her story and call out all the slime balls that did her dirty. Great book!

Thoroughly enjoyed this well written book. Hearing Emily read it made it that much more personal and impactful. Evoked feelings of anger, sadness, empathy and joy. A highly recommended read for all men to shed light on the impact of their attitudes and actions towards women. Thank you for sharing your story Emily.

I want to thank Emily Ratajkowski for writing this book. As a former model in the same era as her early stages of modeling, I share almost identical experiences to one’s she had and as a result have traumas I am still processing. Hearing her voice as she reflects on said experiences provided comfort and solace for me to know I am not alone. Her writing is brilliant especially her specific attention to detail. I am recommending this book to all women I know, not just ones I modeled with, because it serves as a great asset to give perspective on the journey of loving our bodies.

The insight into this life I myself have strived for and seen as glamorous has been eye opening. Left me questioning many things. Must read.

Life Changing!!

I'm a 56 yo mother of a 25 yo daughter and I just texted her that she and her friends need to get this book IMMEDIATELY!!! Emrata (her insta name) is such an incredibly complex, insightful, deep and brilliant storyteller! I could SO relate to this book and it helped me reframe a lot of situations that have occurred in my life for which I have felt shame and regret. I love autobiographies and have read everything from Madeleine Albright to Keith Richards but this is by far the most well written, compelling, important, and relatable autobiography I've ever read!! I can't understand the critics of this book - its magnificent and honestly I think will be one of the most important feminist/human biographies of this era!!! Thank you for truly changing my life!!!
