Swoony and steamy novella

Chase and Bailey’s love story is book 5 (a novella) in this series and was a great edition to the craziness of the Boys of the Bayou and the Landry family. Michael Gallagher and Bridget Bordeaux do a fantastic job narrating and bringing the characters to life. Chase, along with his sister, Juliet, originally came to Autre, Louisiana to help rebuild the boat dock that Chase and his frat brothers destroyed when they stole and crashed an airboat. Juliet believed that Chase needed to be around people who loved their families and their jobs and worked with their hands to avoid Chase becoming like her rich entitled father and brothers. Building the boat dock seemed like a perfect solution. (You can read Juliet’s story in Beauty and the Bayou) Chase learned to love the Bayou and Autre while he was there repairing the damage he caused before leaving to go to medical school in Virginia. When Chase was originally in Autre he also met Bailey, who works with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and they had an awkward, clumsy almost kiss along with an accidentally grope. Each of them mistakenly believing that the other quickly regretted and forgot about the awkward moment. This novella begins when Chase returns to Autre to visit the Landrys for Christmas while also hoping to run into Bailey since he has definitely not forgotten about her. On the way to their HEA, there are many, many more hilarious accidents, the usual cast of crazy critters, crazy Cajuns, and over the top situations. Like all the books in this wonderful series, this holiday novella has all the feels, all the characters are wonderfully developed, the main story line is rich in content, and the small town is a beautiful place to imagine living. Erin Nicholas once again proves she’s a fantastic storyteller and the queen at bringing to life imaginary towns full of wonderful characters.

One of my favorites!

I just loved this adorable story from the Boys of the Bayou. The humor and heart in every book just makes you feel good at the end. The characters are never perfect, with beautiful flaws that make you love them even more. This series has been one of my favorites from 2021 and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Must Love Alligators

5 Stars … Must Love Alligators (Boys of the Bayou 5) is a small town romantic comedy told in the dual third-person point of view of Chase and Bailey.

Six months after their almost kiss, Chase and Bailey are both back in the bayou for Christmas hoping to catch a glimpse of each other even though they know that they are not compatible. While trying to wrangle up the otters and keep them hidden from Bailey, The Landry’s convince Chase to keep Bailey occupied.

Chase and Bailey's story is full of fun, family, holiday spirit, and a calamity of errors. This was a good way to catch up with everyone in Autre, if you are a fan of Boys of the Bayou, or get an introduction into the fun and crazy world of Autre, Louisiana and the Landry's. I loved the extended edition as it gave more of Chase and Bailey's connection, which is always great.

Audio … Michael Gallagher and Bridget Bordeaux did a great job with bringing the story and their respective characters to life.

Fast, Fun, Flirty & Fabulous

This novella was fast, fun, flirty and fabulous!! This quick read delivers all the charm, sweetness, humor, heat, heart and family hijinks that we've come to love and expect from this series and this author. This book takes us back to the bayou for a holiday romance that melts your heart and gives you lots of laughs. Chase and Bailey are totally lovable characters that sneak right into your heart, while their rollicking romantic escapade will give you major feels and swoon.

I’m obsessed with the Boys of the Bayou series!

This is the 5th and shortest book of the series!! I easily fell in love with Chase and Bailey! Their banter and accidents kept me laughing and fully engrossed through the whole book! I probably laughed the most in this one!! This is a fantastic series and narration has been great in all 5 books.

Cute!

This book wasn't as long as the first four books were, but it was absolutely adorable. I love that Chase got his very own story. I also love that we got to know the inspector a little better. Everybody automatically thought she was there to condemn them for their unnatural pets. She wasn't. She really thought they were all amazing and just wanted to be a part of their group. I digress. It's still an amazing book as a part of the series. It's just so adorable!

Great narrative

Chase and Bailey have crossed paths a few times in town, she is The local animal control officer and he's a simple charmer college student. They don't click to well at first but when Chase comes home for Christmas things change. Will these two find love in the bayou? Will there be a HEA?

Christmas on the Bayou.

MUST LOVE ALLIGATORS is an amazing short story with a little sweet and definitely a lot of heat. You are guaranteed to get a lot of laughs and

Chase Dawson and Bailey Wilcox finally get their story. Chase is back in the Bayou on a break for Christmas from Medical school. Their chemistry is undeniable. Their struggles realistic. A lot of heat and laughs with some sweetness.

I enjoyed returning to Autre and seeing the Landry family again. I enjoyed catching up with the characters from previous stories. I loved watching Chase grow up through the series. He started out as irresponsible and immature and ends up being mature and responsible. I loved when Mitch and Chase had a conversation. I love how the Landry's treated Chase like family. Family and fun is what the Landry family is all about. Chase and Bailey have some heartfelt and heartswooning moments. Definitely some heat to warm the nights. I love Ellie. The narrators spoke clearly. I felt their emotion as they read. They took me out of the story and into their heads. I felt as if I was there instead of just listening. I especially felt as if I were there when Chase spoke to Mitch over the phone. Chase and Bailey are the perfect couple. I loved their story. I really enjoyed listening to MUST LOVE ALLIGATORS.

fun story

Chase and Bailey have a complex accident prone relationship. She's the shy, nerdy alligator ressearcher, he's the rich med school student. Chase is immediately enamored with her. It's so much fun to listen to this story, how they try to maneuver their relationship without any more accidents. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story.
Michael Gallagher and Bridget Bordeaux brought this story to life! I enjoy visiting the Landry's and the boys in the bayou.

Short but Amazing

Such a cute love story between Chase and Bailey. This is just a small taste of the Bayou craziness I’ve come to know and love. My only complaint is that it was so short. That being said, it still packed a punch in terms of romance, steaminess, and silly antics.
