Publisher's summary

Nietzsche’s saying, “He who fights monsters becomes one”, rings true in this murder novella. As a 25 year Department of Corrections veteran, Correctional Officer Pontivich devises a scheme to kill inmates on his small prison yard. His goal is to break Ed Kemper’s (the “co-ed killer") record.

Ed Kemper is an inmate confined at California Medical Facility. Dr. Yi, the wing psychologist, is an expert in non-verbal communication. She specializes in the limbic brain, particularly the brain’s “freeze, fight, and flight” responses. By observing her prison surroundings, Dr. Yi moves through non-verbal communication clues in search of the mass murderer. The killer keeps his secret so well that he actually signs a body receipt to the County Coroner on an inmate he killed.

Fabulous reader!

The novelette is compact with fun information about the intricacies of human nature as noticed through a forensic psychologist who uses body language to solve a crime. It is entertaining. However, the stand out reading of Todd Christian Elliott transports the reader to a virtual stage where the characters are easily defined and come to life with his ability to define them and capture their persona through his voice.

Non-verbal communication read!

This is a great read on the use and recognition on non-verbal body communication. I think it should be required reading for all cops. An entertaining story that allows you to learn as you read.
