Disappointed

I really had high hopes for this three story purchase. I can’t even believe I actually paid for it! Quite disappointed. I’m a dyed in the wool Patterson fan but this didn’t quite measure up to my expectations.

Who wrote this book?

I have read numerous books by James Patterson and I am a big fan. I don't think he wrote this one. The story is boring. The performance is boring. The book is so slow that I gave up after two hours. Definitely not paradise. I didn't like the main character who is very ill defined. Don't waste your time listening to this one.

one out of three

The first two stores weren't very good. I wasn't particularly impressed by the narrators either. The last story was well written and the narrators did a good job of portraying the characters.

Surprised at 3 short stories from James Patterson

I am a big fan of the good guys prevailing and the bad guys getting their due. No so here.

Horrible!

Author leads you down a winding path then when you least expect it kills off all the quality characters in an evil manner!

Best yet

This is one of the best James Patterson's books I have listened to yet! Even if it is just a collection of stories.

disappointed

love James Patterson and appreciate that he helps writers "get their legs", this book is a disappointment for me. The first story was based on a formula from television crime/law dramas. (Yes, I love them too....but come up with something fresh!) The second story sucked me in and moved appropriately fast for seasoned Patterson readers (as well as for other seasoned readers of the same or similar genre) BUT the villain was obvious to the reader and then THEN when the plot was "revealed" and the bad guys were uncovered, the story ENDED????? Unless this is the first of a series, forget it. I have just started the third story...involving a drone...and am just giving up. Actually returning this book to the vendor which I very rarely do.

This book was 3 stories. They were each pretty entertaining, but not stellar. Interesting, engaging.
